Every hour makes an impact Volunteers make such a difference to our school district. Ask any teacher or principal or the children in a school and you will hear the same answer - WE LOVE VOLUNTEERS! But there is a special volunteer who looks after thousands of our children every year and does it with a smile and a willing heart. Last Saturday night she was inducted into the HEB Hall of Fame as an outstanding volunteer. Congratulations to our very own Melody Davenport, our Fourth Vice President for the Clothes Closet, on this wonderful honor. Melody consistently volunteers more than 1,000 hours a year with the Clothes Closet, on district committees and with local schools. I do not put in a 1,000 hours a year and you may be thinking that it is difficult to find time for even 10 hours a year.
