Sep/Oct 2008: Developed Technical Specifications for Modernisation of the ICT facilities for a key Government of Kenya Institution project worth over 1,000,000 October 2003: Appointed UNESCO Training Coordinator to organise and implement a training programme on E content development for Science and engineering Subjects for Universities in Africa. A five day workshop for participants from 8 Universities from 6 African countries. March 15 th 2003 June 10 th 2003: Appointed UNESCO consultant to conduct a needs assessment survey on the use of ICT for Education in supporting educational Programs in faculties of Science and Engineering in the East African Universities (UON, JKUAT, MOI, Dar and MAK). 9th Dec. 2003: Appointed Team Leader for 5 years in the Open and Distance Learning Project in Phase II of the VLIR IUC UON Kenya Belgium Interuniversity Cooperation programme. - As part of my brief in this project I have organised and facilitated successful training workshops in E content development, Research Methods and Student Support Systems within the University of Nairobi. Oct 4 th Dec 20 th 2002: Appointed a consultant by UNESCO to design and implement a computer based information system that analyses dynamic survey data on the state of science and technology training institutions in Africa. Jun 27 th 2002 17 th July 2002: Appointed a consultant by InfoDev (a UN agency) to evaluate ABANTU for Development s Strengthening the ICT Capacities for women organisations in Africa. The evaluation spanned four countries Kenya, Ghana, Nigeria and UK. May 2000 October 2000: Appointed project leader to oversee the implementation of the University of Nairobi cooperative society s (Chuna SACCO) computer based information system.
