October 14, 2014 Dear Parents, I hope you had a nice long, relaxing weekend. St. Mary s School hosted the STEM Professional Development Day here on Friday. Teachers and principals from 18 schools were on campus. Our teachers spent the day taking classes and enjoying the camaraderie of their colleagues. The Scrip Program will continue to sell on the pavers this week. Please note: Sales will be on Monday morning and Thursday morning and afternoon. Scrip cards will not be sold on Fridays. Online orders will continue. Our Tricky Tray is a month away. Please be sure to order your tickets soon. Tricky Tray Reminders Class basket money is due by Oct 21 st. ($10 per child) All family prize donations are due by Oct 21 st. After that only monetary donations will be accepted. All monetary donations are due by Oct 21 st. (This includes the $30 donation if you are not volunteering your time) We anticipate the Tricky Tray selling out. (We are ½ way there!!!) CHRISTMAS SHOP IS COMING SOON The elves are starting to prepare for another exciting Christmas Shop for all of our children. The shopping will be done by the children during school on Tuesday & Wednesday, Dec. 2 nd & 3 rd. More info to follow including requests for parent volunteers to help at the event. The Outreach Ministry will conduct its sixth annual coat drive Sunday, October 19, from 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM in the parking lot at the rear of the church. Please bring your clean, gently used winter coats; members of the Outreach Ministry will be there to collect them. Free distribution of coats will take place on Saturday, October 25, from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM, and Sunday October 26, from 9:30 AM to noon in the St. Mary s school gymnasium. Entrance to the gymnasium is off the courtyard in the rear of the school. Coats are needed for men, women and particularly children. Please help make this project a big success.

The Fall Session of Children's choir will be meeting on Sunday from 9:15-10am. It is open to all children grade K-5. Children's choir will be running in 10 weeks sessions this year. Our first rehearsal will be on October 19th, and we will rehearse every Sunday until December 21st. The choir will sing at 9 o'clock Mass on November 16th, and again at 4pm mass on Christmas Eve. Registration for this Program will be on the St. Mary's Website beginning in September. Click on online Registration. Please consider having your child come sing with us!
