The Counselor s Corner Page 3 Each week I want to highlight some helpful strategies or important events coming up for CGB High School Students. If you have any questions, please don t hesitate to contact me! ACT Prep Opportunities In order to help juniors feel more prepared for the upcoming ACT Test on February 27th, the school district has purchased a test prep program which is available to all students via their Career Cruising accounts. Method Test Prep allows students to follow guided practice problems in each of the subjects on the test (English, reading, math and science) as well as take full, timed practice tests. This program is available wherever students have access to the internet. Students may choose to attend practice sessions during Rocket Block to use the Method Test Program with teacher support. Currently, students can attend an English study session with Ms. Schumacher on Tuesdays and/or a math study session with Mr. Arentsen or Mr. Tipple (who will be rotating weeks) on Wednesdays. This opportunity will allow students to review the type of material on the test and to ask questions to gain clarity. Upcoming Events Thursday, January 25th: There will be a presentation about AmeriCorps in the Study Hall (rm 102) during Rocket Block. Sign up outside the HS Office. Friday, January 26th: FINAL day for schedule changes. Monday, February 5th OR Monday, February 12: ALL students intending to apply for the Youth Apprenticeship program MUST attend one of the YA info nights with a parent/guardian. February 5th: 5:45-8:00pm Sheboygan South High School, 1240 Washington Ave, Sheboygan (Auditorium) February 12th: 5:45-8:00pm Plymouth High School, 125 S.
