SUPERINTENDENT Hello CV! As I start my first year as Superintendent at Conestoga Valley School District, I want to welcome everyone to a new school year and say that I look forward to working with you to ensure that EVERY student and EVERY school thrives. I am so excited to join this great community. Over the summer, we will be working hard to prepare for the 2017-2018 school year, which will begin for students on August 22. As you can see in this calendar, we have a busy year planned! As we progress through the year that lies ahead, I hope to see you at some of these events. This year, CV is also welcoming several other new staff members, including Shalana Coleman as the new assistant principal to the HS, Heather Waltman as our new School Resource Officer, as well as several other new faces in our schools and offices. Please join me in giving them a warm welcome to CV. I look forward to getting to know our entire CV community through this school year! Let s make it a good one! As difficult as it may be, please do not rush to the school. Emergency vehicles must have unrestricted access to and from the school. Your child s safety is of primary concern to staff and emergency workers. Please don t phone the school. This ties up phone lines and, even if you get through, the person answering may not have the authority to release information to the public. Please listen to the radio/tv and the automated phone message from your child s principal to hear status reports and to learn when you are permitted to come for your child! Please follow directions for parking when you come to the school. Randomly parked vehicles may hinder emergency procedures. Please follow directions from the staff and/or emergency personnel for entering the building or locating your child. Please be patient! We must account for your child before releasing him/her to you.
