August 15, 2017 To: All Faculty & Staff From: Jim Wyse Re: It Happened Last Night The Evergreen Local Schools Board Records Commission met prior to the regular Board meeting and approved the Certificate of Records disposal. The Evergreen Local Board of Education met in regular session last night, Monday, August 14, 2017 at 7 p.m. There were 10 visitors present. Jim Wyse, Superintendent presented the following correspondence and information: Correspondence from Cindy Shininger requesting a reduction of hours and Madonna Aliemenious requesting unpaid leave. Under Public Participation the following was presented: Proposal to start a high school dance team. Michelle Herr, Evergreen Athletic Booster President, addressed the Board regarding the possibility of scheduling a meeting with members of the Evergreen Athletic Boosters. Denise Leu, Treasurer gave an Income Tax update. The Board conducted the following business: * Approved the July financial reports presented by the Treasurer. * Approved the following donation: * $500.00 from Toledo Harley-Davidson to 300-0000 Evergreen Athletic Department for Bike Night Donation. * Approved the following fund-to-fund transfers and advance: Advance of $500.00 from 001-7410-921 General Fund Advances to 018-5210-9224-General Activity-HS, and to approve. Transfer of $2,967.57 from 300-7200-0000 Athletic Department Transfer-Out to 300-5100-9516 Football Sales Transfer-In.

Transfer of $3,500.00 from 300-7200-0000 Athletic Department Transfer-Out to 300-5100-9535 Volleyball Sales Transfer-In. Bus routes and stops are on file with the transportation department. The Board further authorizes the Superintendent and/or his designee to change Board approved stops whenever necessary for the 2017-2018 school year. * Approved the following pricing for Fall High School Athletic Passes and for an annual, all sports family pass: Fall Season Sports Pass for Student - $45 Fall Season Sports Pass for Adult - $65 Fall Season Sports Pass for Family - $200 All Sports Family Pass (Fall, Winter, Spring) - $350 * Agreed for the Evergreen Local Board of Education to support the educational option program administered by the Wood County Educational Service Center for the Wood County Juvenile Detention Center (JDC), the Juvenile Residential Center (JRC) of Northwest Ohio, and the Wood County Alternative School

(ALC). For the 2017 2018 school year, the Evergreen Board of Education agrees to pay: $64 per student per day for students assigned to JDC (last year $64) $73 per student per day for students assigned to JRC (last year $68) $50 per day for students for short-term placement to the ALC (last year $50) $55 per day for students for long-term placement to the ALC (last year $ $55) * Approved Nora Kiefer as the Evergreen Local Board of Education delegate, and Ken Kormanyos as the Evergreen Local Board of Education alternate to the OSBA Annual Business Meeting at the OSBA Capital Conference on November 13, 2017. * Approved revisions to the Evergreen Local Schools Athletic Handbook, effective August 1, 2017. Under Discussion and Information: Condition of Softball and Baseball Fields. * It was moved and seconded to adjourn the August 14, 2017 Regular Meeting of the Evergreen Local Board of Education. The Next Regular Board Meeting will be held on September 11, 2017 at 7:00 PM in the Loren Pennington Learning Center.
