Board Goal 1: Vary learning experiences to increase success in college and career pathways. Simplify the foundation of teaching and learning to prepare for innovation. Ensure all teachers prioritize standards. CCC s will make initial selection of priority standards based upon this criterion; Readiness for the next grade, Concepts and skills that will endure over the students K-12 experience, skills and concepts that can be linking across content areas, and standards measured by the Georgia Milestones Assessment. CCC team minutes and agendas, lesson plans, observations, and/or TKES results CCC s will look for connections to the Georgia Milestone Assessment CCC s will reach a consensus on priority standards CCC s will chart selections by grade level and review through K-5 vertical alignments. Conduct weekly, collaborative, teacher team meetings based on the 4 critical questions. CCC s will meet weekly to focus of student achievement as it relates to building data, grade level data, classroom data, and best practices as it relates to the data team process. CCC s are expected to examine these for questions on a continual basis. CCC team minutes and agendas, lesson plans, and observations What do we expect our students to learn? How will we know they are learning? How will we respond when they don t learn? How will we respond if they already know it?

Board Goal 2: Differentiate resources for students based on needs. Superintendent s Use data to make decisions. Utilize CTLS to assess, develop, deliver, and analyze common formative assessments in all core content areas. CCC s will utilize CTLS to develop common assessments in all core content. CCC s will provide acceleration, extension, or enrichment opportunities to students based on Cobb Teaching and Learning Standards and the data process. CTLS ASSESS classroom and grade level reports Deliver, analyze, and adjust instruction in reading and math, utilizing data from Universal Screener (RI and MI). CCC s will employ quarterly Universal Screener information to drive instruction in reading and math. CCC s will group students according to their instructional levels based upon their RI and MI scores. CCC s will ensure that students receive support to accelerate, extend, or enrich student learning. Board Goal 3: Develop stakeholder involvement to promote student success. Make Cobb the best place to teach, lead, and learn. Utilize stakeholder input to improve school processes. Board Goal 4: Recruit, hire, support and retain employees for the highest level of excellence. Make Cobb the best place to teach, lead, and learn. Develop teacher leaders. Key Actions: Create platforms for teacher leadership opportunities (building leadership team, CCC s, Data Team, building committees) Provide opportunities for teacher leaders to be mentored and attend teacher leader professional development sessions Provide opportunities for teacher led professional development sessions New Teacher Leader Self-Assessment Survey Professional Development Plan, Teacher Mentoring Program feedback Develop professional learning needs based on TKES and LKES evaluations and collaboration rubrics. School leadership team will review school-wide data, TKES self-assessment, and TKES goals to create meaningful professional development opportunities to positively effect student achievement CCC s will provide professional development based on the student performance Georgia Milestones Assessment, TouchStones, and Common Assessments from TKES and LKES evaluations
