January 2, 2019 Dear Families, I welcome all back and wish you a 2019 full of many blessings and much joy. Thank you to everyone for the multitude of Christmas gifts, wishes, cards, and notes that came my way. The generosity of the SPXS community always amazes me, and I am very grateful. January- New Year- Re-Registration for the upcoming year- it doesn t seem possible, but it s here! Please send re-registration forms in ASAP. Also, do not assume we know there is a sibling coming. We have had a few surprises over the years and want to be certain that siblings are not left out! Mrs. Werner, one of our fourth-grade teachers, lost her father over the Christmas break. Please keep Mrs. Werner and her family in your prayers. Our next early dismissal is January 18 th, when we have a NEASC meeting. A form to register for aftercare that day is included today. All students, even those who use the program daily, must be pre-registered for the 18 th. We want to be certain we have adequate coverage for the afternoon. Information for financial aid assistance is included once again. The application through FACTS can be completed now, and documentation sent later.

The Calendar drawings have begun! Here s a picture of Raegan, from our topselling family, assisting with pulling the winners for Jan. 1 and 2. I am looking forward to this Friday, when we have Dominic and Luca Coppa as Principals for the Day. Friday is bound to be full of fun! Happy New Year to all, Anne Dailey Principal

January 2, 2019 Dear Parents and Guardians: It s hard to believe that we are already beginning the admissions process for the 2019-2020 school year. Our first priority in this process is determining your intentions at this time. Attached is a re-registration form. Please indicate your plans for the upcoming year and return this to the school by Friday, January 18, 2019. Current families and siblings will receive priority consideration until this date. Below is information regarding financial assistance and payment plans. Please read this information carefully, as the financial assistance options provide meaningful support for our families. The tuition plan options are outlined, and the tuition payment preference form will be sent home at a later date. Admissions prioritization deadlines are also included with this packet, along with the school s revised tuition policy. INFORMATION REGARDING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE 1. Active and supporting parishioners of St. Pius X Parish and other Catholic parishes may request a parish subsidy to be applied to St Pius X School tuition. You must apply for the Parish Subsidy each year. Once this form is completed by your pastor, please return it to the school office no later than April 1, 2019. 2. Once again, the Diocese of Fall River and St. Pius X Parish are making need based assistance available to families in our school. These funds are raised each year through the efforts of concerned and generous members of our Diocesan and Parish communities. Families experiencing financial difficulties are strongly encouraged to apply. F.A.C.E. (Foundation to Advance Catholic Education) - for registered students entering Grades K-8. Any student entering Grades K-8 attending St. Pius X School may apply for funds from F.A.C.E. through FACTS. Click to apply: https://online.factsmgt.com/aid The St. Pius X School Scholarship Fund - for registered students entering PreK-8. Only active and supporting St. Pius X Parishioners may apply for the St. Pius X School Scholarship Fund. Families applying for the St. Pius X School Scholarship Fund are required to also apply for funds from F.A.C.E. through FACTS. Click to apply: https://online.factsmgt.com/aid 3. Antonuzzi and McIntyre Scholarships, funded through endowments, will provide some additional tuition assistance to registered students of St. Pius X School. Families applying for this program are required to apply for funds through F.A.C.E., as this application will be utilized in determining awards. The application deadline for F.A.C.E. and the St. Pius X School Scholarship Fund is February 15, 2019. Applications received after this date will not be considered.

TUITION PAYMENT PLAN OPTIONS Parents have two options available for making tuition payments: Option 1 is Full Tuition Payment by April 26, 2019 A discount of $50.00 per student is applicable, if tuition is paid in full by April 26, 2019. Cash, check, and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Am/Ex, Discover) accepted. Option 2 is Monthly Payments through FACTS beginning May, 2019 for 11 payments. Payments are made on the 5 th or 20 th. There is an administration fee processed by FACTS for the use of this option. ADMISSIONS PRIORITIZATION DEADLINES Re-registration for Current Students: January 2, 2019 through Friday, January 18, 2019 Siblings of Current Students: In order to receive priority consideration, applications must be received by January 18, 2019. Parishioners of St. Pius X Parish: In order to receive priority consideration, applications must be received by Friday, January 25, 2019. ST. PIUS X SCHOOL TUITION POLICY When a student registers at St. Pius X School, we not only hold a place for that student, but also commit resources to optimize the educational experience of that student. We design staffing, programs, and acquire supplies based on the number of registered students to ensure a quality education. Each year we forgo potential income by limiting the number of incoming students, when we commit a place for your son or daughter. We also depend on full and timely payment of tuition. According to the policies of the Diocese of Fall River, all financial obligations to St. Pius X School must be met before a student may enroll in another diocesan school. St. Pius X School will notify the receiving school if these obligations have not been met. A non-refundable tuition deposit for each child is due in March with the Tuition Payment Preference Form. This deposit is credited towards tuition. Monies received will not be refunded. Once a student has begun a month, tuition for that month must be paid, in addition to what has already been paid. If you have any regarding information in this packet, please do not hesitate to contact the school. Sincerely, Anne Dailey, Principal
