TRANSPORTATION The only early dismissal day is Friday, December 21 st. Buses will run at 11:35 am on early dismissal
NO EARLY FINALS A student may not take a final before the assigned date and time.
MAKE UP FINALS If you are absent for a final, you will receive an I for the semester. You have 2 weeks to make it up schedule with your teacher. January 22, 2019 deadline
EXEMPTIONS 9 th grade = 1 exemption 10 th grade = 2 exemptions 11 th grade = 3 exemptions 12 th grade = 3 exemptions
EXEMPTIONS With the exception of seniors, students cannot exempt the same class in both semesters. Students must attend all classes during finals. This includes Study Hall, Athletics, Fine Arts, etc. You could lose your exemption.
EXEMPTION REQUIREMENTS A average and 3 or fewer absences B average and 2 or fewer absences C average and 1 or 0 absences 3 tardies = 1 absence This is for the semester.
TEXTBOOKS All semester course textbooks must be in before you can take your final exams.
EXEMPTIONS AND DISCIPLINE You will lose exemptions for: N or U in conduct ISS/OSS More than 6 hours of detentions Holds
EXEMPTION CARDS Distribution Dates: Monday December 10 th : During lunches and after school December 11 th -14 th : During lunches, and before and after school MUST HAVE YOUR SLHS ID to pick up your card. Cards are due to your AP Office by Friday, December 14 th at 3:00 pm.
ATTENDANCE DURING EXAM WEEK If you exempt a final, you must leave campus or remain in the Main Commons. If you exempt a final and decide to take it, the grade stands. Watch your absences
POWER REVIEWS Attending Power Reviews is a great way to get started on studying for exams. Each review session is 1.5 hours long and will be a re-teaching of the key concepts covered in the course this semester.
You must purchase a $5.00 ticket for each session in advance to attend a POWER REVIEW. Cash only. There will be no refunds or replacements. Sessions are limited and fill up quickly. A review will be closed once all tickets are sold. There is no admittance without a valid ticket.
BELOW ARE THE DATES AND TIMES OF THE 6 REVIEW SESSIONS. You can attend one review per session. Monday December 10 th : 3:00pm-4:30pm Tuesday December 11 th : 3:00pm-4:30pm Wednesday December 12 th : 3:00pm-4:30pm Thursday December 13 th : 3:00pm-4:30pm Saturday December 15 th : 8:00am-9:30am Saturday December 15 th : 9:45am-11:15am
DATES AND TIMES FOR TICKET PURCHASES FOR ALL SESSIONS Thursday December 6 th : Before School at 6:45am to 7:25am - Main Commons Only Thursday December 6 th through Friday December 14 th - During all lunches in both Commons as long as tickets are available.
The list of the specific subjects being offered at each session will be posted on the SLHS website under news by Wednesday, December 5 th. A list will also be posted in both the Main and 9 th Grade Commons. The Ticket Request Form will be on the SLHS website, and copies will be in both Commons once ticket sales begin.
HOW DO I PURCHASE A TICKET FOR A POWER REVIEW? STEP 1: Check the list of power reviews being offered. STEP 2: Complete a Power Review Ticket Request Form. PRINT YOUR FULL NAME NEATLY ON THE FORM. STEP 3: Take the completed Ticket Request Form to the stage in the main or 9 th grade commons along with your cash payment for the reviews you wish to attend STEP 4: Write your name on the ticket and show up at the review you enrolled in with your ticket.
