Have there been any changes that would require a change to your Program Mission? The AA-T: Theatre Arts was officially accepted by the chancellor s office to begin fall of 2018. Please comment on data and trends The dip between 2014-15 and 2015-16 can be attributed to a realignment in which courses specific to PCPA s programs were separated from those of the general public through a change of course prefex (from DRMA to THEA). 2015-16 through 2017-18 were building years as the AA-T; Theatre Arts was navigating the approval process. b. The expectation is that we will have a total of 5 degrees awarded in this the first year of the program. d. Describe how the program works to promote student success (completions job placement, transfer). Include teaching innovations and use of academic and student support. The program faculty play a very active role in helping students complete in a timely fashion by maintaining a personal connection with each identified major, or those who express an interest. By introducing students to local and regional theatre community, including, but not limited to, course required attendance to local productions, and providing field trip opportunities like attending Teatro Campesino productions. By supporting the Drama Club students are given the opportunity to create and produce their own work. e. List any notable accomplishments of the program (student awards, honors, or scholarships can be listed here also) Produced The Butterfly adapted by Bijan Mofid involving thirteen student performers and seen by over 250.
