Hey Shockers! Our annual coat drive is beginning. We will be collecting coats until January 6th. Beginning Monday, there will be a collection box in the cafetorium. Help out the kids this winter who need coats to keep warm. Coats must be either new or gently used and washed. All coats will be donated to families within our community. Salvation Army s Angel Tree Deadline Extended Through Tuesday, November 22 Homeroom teachers will continue to accept donations for the Salvation Army s Angel Tree through Tuesday, November 22. Each homeroom has adopted an angel and with your help, we can make a boy s or girl s holiday wishes come true. Checks should be made out to SCMS PTO. Our goal is to raise $10,000. If we do so, there will be a Student-Faculty basketball game during school. If we raise $9,000, the grade level that wins will receive open lunch every Wednesday for a month. $8,000 will cause some teachers in each grade to get some pies to the face! We also need help transporting gifts (large SUVs and/or bike racks a plus) and shopping for gifts (students included!). If you can help, please sign up at http://www.signupgenius.com/go/9040f45a4ae292-scms2 or email lesliedinkin@hotmail.com or kmelvin0428@gmail.com. Thank you! The Student Council is sponsoring the annual talent show on Tuesday,November 29th from 6-7:30pm. Tickets will be on sale at 6th, 7th, and 8th grade lunches on Monday and Tuesday of next week and the Monday and Tuesday after we return from Thanksgiving break. Tickets will be $5, with all proceeds going to Make-a-Wish. Everyone must have a ticket to attend and no tickets will be available at the door. Online School Payments (OSP) - CMS has provided us with the opportunity to accept payments for school events on-line. It is much like Athletics Pay-to-Play, comes with a fee (4%), and allows you to pay at your convenience. If you choose to pay on-line, it also relieves our teachers from the time taken to do the paperwork and to receipt and turn in money or checks. Teachers will continue to take cash and checks as they always have. Just sign in to: osp.osmsinc.com/cms Choose your student s event and homeroom teacher, and make payment. The teacher and Financial Secretary are sent advisements of your payment. We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity. Through the year, events will be added including field trips, textbooks, fees, and other payments. Re-link your Harris Teeter VIC card!
