If you are able to attend, please see the RSVP form included with this newsletter. If you are a 4-H volunteer who plans to attend the banquet, please email Alison Johnson at alison.johnson@uky.edu You must register by Friday, November 16th. Extension Office 5:30 Doors Open 6:00 Nacho Bar 6:30 Awards SAVE THE DATE for 4-H SUMMER CAMP 2019 The 2019 camp dates have been announced: July 15th-19th Scott County 4-H will be camping with Woodford and Garrard Counties at North Central 4-H Camp. We will begin taking applications and deposits in early January. Volunteers Needed! 8th Grade Reality Store The 2018 Reality Store offers local eighthgraders the opportunity to practice their money management skills. We need 55-65 volunteers to run the booths where students will purchase the necessities of everyday living. The Reality Store will take place on Monday, November 19th at Georgetown Middle School. The following volunteer time frames are available: 8:15-12:00, 12:00-2:15, 8:15-2:30 If you are able to help with this event, please email Patrick Allen at patrick.allen@uky.edu by Wednesday, October 31st.

Livestock Club Monday, October 15th, 6:00 p.m. members will meet at the Scott Co. Extension Teen Leadership Club Teen Club members will hold regular club meetings on Tuesdays at 4:00 p.m. at the Scott Co. Extension October 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th This club is for any teen in 8-12 grade. New members are always welcome! Transportation can be provided from Scott County High School and the Ninth Grade Center with prior notification. Rabbit Club Monday, October 22nd, 6:00 p.m. regular club meeting for new and returning members at the Scott Co. Extension Dog Club Members will meet on Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m. at the Scott Co. Extension October 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th. Homeschool Club Monday, October 8th, 2:00 p.m. members will have a regular club meeting at the Scott Co. Extension Neigh Team Saturday, October 13th, 2:00 p.m. mounted meeting at Brooking Park. Monday, October 22nd, 6:00 p.m. business meeting at the Scott Co. This club will meet on the second and fourth Thursdays each month. Online enrollment will not be available until early January. 4-H Sewing Volunteer Leader Meeting If you are a volunteer leader for 4-H Sewing, we will have a meeting on Tuesday, October 16th, 2:30-3:30 p.m. at the Scott Co. Extension 4-H Knitting and Crochet Beginning Knitting, Beginning Crochet, and Advanced Knitting will all meet on the following Tuesdays in October: October 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th. Please note: All meetings are from 3:30-5:00 p.m. at the Scott Co. Extension 4-H Photography This year, there will be two different classes for Photography. Basic Photography Members will meet on Tuesday, October 9th, 6:00-6:45 p.m. at the Scott Co. Extension Controlling the Image this class is for those who have some knowledge of camera use and who have a DSLR camera. Members will meet on Tuesday, October 9th, 6:45-7:30 p.m. at the Scott Co. Extension SCHOOL CLUB SPOTLIGHT Pictured Right: Students in the 4th grade at Garth Elementary participate in an activity to learn about bird adaptations.

- Kentucky and Ohio 4-H members recently traveled to Washington, D.C. for Urban Immersion Project 2018. 4-H Air Rifle and BB members participated in a Fun Shoot in August. Congratulations to Colby Lay for his excellent performance at 4-H Forestry Field Day at Carter Caves State Park!

You may also mail the form to the office at 1130 Cincinnati Rd. If you would like your child s picture included in the awards PowerPoint presentation, please email the picture to Alison Johnson. The deadline to register is Friday, November 16th. Please note: If we do not have this form by the deadline, we will not have awards to give to your child at the banquet.
