The 2018-19 survey administration window begins in February and separate surveys are available for parents, students, and staff. Online Administration Parent, student, and staff surveys will be conducted online. Online administration is the preferred method because it allows for the quickest response and easiest monitoring. Caring is about feeling interest or concern for others. Students who care place themselves in others shoes and try to understand how they are feeling. A box will pop up with instructions. i. Click on the Search Volunteer Opportunities tab. ii. Click on the Volunteers box. In the search by schools box type Conway Elementary. iii. Click on Become an ADDitions School Volunteer with Conway Elementary. iv. Click on sign up under the ADDitions logo box. This will take you to a login page. Attendance FACTS Good attendance is considered above 95%, or approximately no more than one day of absence each month. v. Click on create a new account. Parent Resources for the Florida Standards As you are all aware, our Florida Standards require more rigorous testing requirements. The OCPS Parent Home Page now includes direct links to parent guides and sources that can help parents better understand OCPS guidelines. If you visit www.ocps.net, select the parent tab and then click on Parent Academy, you can access videos that highlight tips for helping your child with the concepts being taught in Math and Language Arts. By: Mrs. Angela Mefford 2nd grade Concert is on Thursday, Feb. 21st. Concert starts at 5:30. 2nd graders report to the music room at 5pm. The concert should end around 6pm. Letters have been sent home and we need the bottom portion returned as soon as possible. The theme of the concert is Around the World. The concert is open to the public and free to all. 3rd graders have received their recorders in music class. Please remind your children to bring them to their music day. Also, encourage them to practice what they are learning in music. It will help them feel successful when it is time to earn belts in Recorder Karate. 4th and 5th grade after school D.R.U.M. club started on Monday, Feb. 4th. 4th and 5th grade Chorus is still practicing every Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8-8:30am. Join us on Thursday, February 21st to see our students' artwork inspired by traditional art from different countries around the world. We are getting ready for our big Arts at Conway day at school, which will be next month. On Thursday, March 14th (the day before Spring Break starts), we'll have our event celebrating all of the arts happening all school day. If you are interested, we could always use volunteers to help with running stations, helping our guests, or volunteering with your child's class.
