According to the evaluation by participants, lectures were of good quality, the training is very useful for their work. City officials developed real action plans for their department involvement in the transfer concept, which will ease the implementation and monitoring their involvement. Upon the training, in the reflection notes, city officials showed improvements in their awareness of local democratic governance and expressed their expectation and willingness to make changes in the current system for more public participation in local decision making and for better e-government implementation. According to the evaluation by participants, lectures were of good quality, the training is useful for their work. Upon the training, in the reflection notes, participants showed their suggestions for change in their wards/ commune for more public participation and e-government at grassroots as well as showed their willingness for e-government implementation. Title of Training 4: E-government implementation Date: Group 1: 21 December 2011 Group 2: 22 December 2011 Group 3: 23 December 2011 Venue: Meeting Hall, City Party Building, Tra Vinh Number of Participants for 3 groups: 150 Brief description of training aim and content: The workshop aims to communicate the e-government project to the city officials as general and to members of the city associations of women in particular. The content of the workshop is to introduce the framework of the public administrative reform (PAR) and the on-going reform in the city; equip the participants with basic IT skills, including searching internet, using internet tools for work. Outcomes: Upon the workshop, participants have aquired knowledge of the PAR and the e-government project and basic IT skills to serve their work, including browsing the city website, downloading forms and applications, tracking online applications.
