Billy Cart Challenge Many years ago there was the Billy Cart Challenge at Gordon PS. I am very happy that this is starting back up in 2018. Instructions have been in the newsletter throughout term one and I know that many families are building their carts as we speak. Part of the project is scrutinising and this is clearly outlined in the instructions. This will be a great afternoon of enjoyment, for our community and I encourage as many people as possible to build a cart with their children. Holidays Wow, they have come around so quickly! We will hold the final term assembly at 1:30pm next Thursday. I trust that all families have a safe and enjoyable break. Staffing We eagerly await the birth of Ms Jones baby and wish her all the best while on maternity leave. She will be greatly missed by the whole community but we hope she enjoys the time with her new baby. Ms Moser will be replacing Ms Jones in the 5/6 room and Ms Sandlant will be moving into the 3/4 room. Ms Sandlant started her studies in law before realising her passion for education, perhaps this came from her mother, a principal in the education department. I m sure you will all welcome Ms Sandlant to our community. Lunches Shop lunch orders will only take place on Wednesdays and Fridays next term. Working Bee This Sunday 25th March from 9am until 12noon there will be a working bee at the school. All are welcome. Please bring your own equipment (wheelbarrows, gloves etc) and a water bottle. Easter Raffle Just a reminder to bring in Easter donations to the school office for the Easter raffle. All donations and raffle tickets are due back before Tuesday 27th March. Happy Birthday We would like to wish Happy Birthday to Lachlan, Jaxon, William, Tyler H-B and any members of our community who are celebrating their special day. Have a great weekend, Russel Cowan Principal Athletics Day Next Tuesday is our school Athletics. We ask that students come dressed in their house colours for the day. Ms Lulu had a very busy term, but a very successful one as well. If you get the chance, please thank her for her efforts.
