She taught physical education at St. Mary for over 40 years. Until just a few years ago, Jerry continued to come in to help teachers do special projects with the children such as Polish ornaments, Christmas customs, and symmetry bookmarks. Most recently the children knew Mrs. Boron as the paczki lady as she treated all the students to paczki on Fat Tuesday. Her presence will be greatly missed. Click here to donate to St. Mary School in honor of Mrs. Jerry Boron. Thank you. Sprucing up the Commons Dave Stillwell is volunteering is time to paint the Commons. Mary Jane is hoping to rent out the Commons for small events. If interested contact Mary Jane in the Parish Center. Thank you Dave for your time and talent! Attention: Teens in 8th -12th grades Are you a teen currently in 8th - 12th grade? Do you want to have a place where you can be yourself and be heard? Do you want to be comfortable in a non-judgmental setting? Do you want to build new or stronger friendships with others? Then it s time for you to join other teens in the Upper Room! The Upper Room is located in the Guardian Angel Building at St. Mary on the 3rd floor. Join us for food, fun, and fellowship. Our next meeting is March 18 at 6pm in The Upper Room.

Hot Meals Our Parish will be serving dinner Sunday, April 8 from 5-6 pm in the Cafeteria. Volunteers are always appreciated to serve or help with preparation at 3 pm. Thank you. Registration Registration for the 2018-19 school year is in progress. We offer EdChoice Scholarships based on income. Please contact the school office at 322-2808 to set up an appointment to visit the school or for additional information regarding registration. Enrichment Zip Line Students in Enrichment classes grades 6-8 had a project in which they had to design a device that at a certain point shoots out a marble that would hit a target. The target had different points marked. The group with the highest number of points after three tries won. All of the devices were quite creative! Afterschool Acting Class The Afterschool Acting Class performed Little Red Riding Hood s Granny for the school. The play was based on Little Red Riding Hood but had a comic flair. The students did an amazing job! Design an Ad The Chronicle Telegram hosts a yearly ad contest where they partner with local businesses and schools. Students in fifth grade design an ad for a business and judges choose the best ad for each business. Victoria, one of our fifth graders was chosen as a winner for Jack Matia s ad. Zip Line Activity On Friday the junior high were given a task of creating a device that would hold a ping pong ball that also has to travel down a zip line in 4 seconds or less. They were given the following materials to use: tape, 4 cups, 4 washers, cardboard, and straws. They are still in the design phase; results to follow after Easter break. Dance Seventh and eighth graders having fun at the St. Patrick s Day Dance. Happy Birthday, Father Charlie! Texas Roadhouse If each student brought back their Wednesday folder Thursday they received a special Easter treat from Texas Roadhouse. Thank you, Texas Roadhouse!
