WELCOME TO THOMPSON REGISTRATION
To complete the registration process you will need 2 items: The first item is the Elective Course Guide. This guide will provide you with general information regarding all of the available courses at Thompson Intermediate. The second item is your Thompson Registration Course Request sheet. You will use this sheet to make your selection of the courses you would like to take while you are a student at Thompson.
COURSE DESCRIPTION GUIDE The Thompson Course Guide has been created to give each student the opportunity to be aware of the different course choices that are available. Before you complete your Course Registration Request please be sure to look through the guide for more information on each of the electives.
THOMPSONS REGISTRATION REQUEST The Thompson Registration Request Card is broken up into 4 sections. This PowerPoint will walk you through each section to complete the Registration Request Card. Following the completion of the card you will meet with a Thompson Counselor during a specified time. At that time we will review your choices and complete the registration process. COURSE REGISTRATION CARD- STARTING POINT 1. Fill in your name ( first and last) in the blank labeled Student Name. 2. Fill in your student ID number in the blank labeled Student Number. 3. Fill in your EMAIL address in the blank labeled Email. 4. Fill in your phone number in the blank labeled Phone Number.
SECTION 1.- CHOOSING YOUR CORE ACADEMIC CLASSES (MATH, SCIENCE, HISTORY, ENGLISH AND READING) 1. Please choose between On- level, Pre AP or CONNECT classes. 2. If you choose the CONNECT program all of your core curriculum classes will be in the CONNECT program (Math, ELAR, Science, History). 3. You must choose between an Onlevel or Pre AP class for each core subject area (this does not apply if you choose the Connect program).
In Section 2 you will choose one Fine or Performing ART. Lets look at our choices. Choir Band Orchestra Art and Graphic Art

ATHLETICS AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION Track In section 3 you will be choosing between PE or Athletics. Lets look at the different sports we offer. Soccer Basketball Tennis Volleyball Football
SECTION 3. ATHLETICS OR PE In section 3 you will choose between PE and Athletics. If you choose to be in Athletics please check all the sports you would like to participate in.
In section 4 you will choose 2 electives. Placement in electives depends on: Does it fit into your schedule? Are there available seats in the elective you have chosen? Lets look at the elective options. Teen Leadership Dance Spanish Media Productions
SECTION 4.ELECTIVES You will need to choose 2 electives of interest to you. Understand that enrollment in all electives is limited and placement is based on availability.
STUDENTS AND PARENTS WILL NEED TO REVIEW THE COURSE OPTIONS AND COMPLETE THE REQUEST CARD. ALL REQUEST CARDS WILL BE DUE WHEN STUDENTS MEET WITH THE THOMPSON INTERMEDIATE COUNSELORS.
