List of Research Studies /Research Projects undertaken at UGC Academic Staff College, A.M.U, Aligarh. Impact Study of Refresher Courses: Conducted an Impact Study from 194 responses from the participants of Subject Refresher Course. The report has been published in the form of book in 2004. Impact Study of Orientation Programme: Conducted an Impact Study of 327 responses from the participants of Orientalism Programme who have attended the programme from our UGC Academic Staff College after a gap of one year. The results have been published in the form of a research paper in the Journal of All India Association for Educational Research, New Delhi, Vol. 18, Nos. 3 and 4 September and December 2006. NFCH Project REACH 2006: National Foundation for Communal Harmony (Ministry of Home Affairs) has sanctioned the project to promote Communal Harmony. Under this project competitions for Essay writing, Group Discussion, Posters and Slogan Writing and Play Writing in English, Hindi and Urdu for AMU students were organized. About 100 prizes to the winners were distributed. NFCH Project REACH 2007: National Foundation for Communal Harmony (Ministry of Home Affairs) has again sanctioned the project REACH 2007 for organizing Essay competition on National Integration in which students from under graduate and graduate level from all parts of the country participated in three languages. Compiled higher education study material: 230 Research papers and articles were complied as reading material for the consultation of Orientation Programme participants from the University News, Books, Journals etc. as detailed below: o Computer Awareness, Information Technology, Resource Awareness and Knowledge Generation: 43 Articles o Articles on higher education : 72 Articles 3

o Human Resource Development, Formal and Informal Education, Globalization, Examination and Evaluation, Counselling, Educational Management : 48 Articles o Socio-Economic, Cultural, Moral and Ethical Problems, Value Based Educations, Women Empowerment : 39 Articles o Privatization in Higher Education : 28 Articles Social Harmony Awareness: Compiled relevant study materials in a book form of about 300 pages from various sources on National integration or social harmony, which is one of the objectives of the orientation programme & refresher courses. Courses and programmes organized at Academic Staff College: 156 subject refresher courses organized for the teachers of higher education at Academic Staff College, A.M.U, Aligarh. 50 orientation programmes have been organized & coordinated for the teachers of higher education at Academic Staff College A.M.U, Aligarh. Several Interaction programmes, Summer School programmes and Winter School programmes have been organized. Chaired with senior Professors, a large number of seminars and teachers presentation organized for the evaluation of the participants of various courses. A number of workshops and short term courses have been organized for the research scholars of A.M.U. at Academic Staff College, A.M.U, Aligarh. 20 evening staff development programmes have been organized for lecturers and school teachers of A.M.U, Aligarh. Organized Madarasa teachers training programme (sponsored by British High Commission, New Delhi). English Access Micro-Scholarship Programme: A unique programme designed to teach English language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) has been in progress since November 2007 for 500 socially and financially under privileged A.M.U. school children. 4

English, Urdu, Hindi Proficiency classes have been organized since 2002 at evening for the participants of Orientation and refresher courses of Academic Staff College. Organized more than 60 Cultural evenings for outstation participants of Academic staff College. Organized more than 20 Literary programmes with Hindi, Urdu and English Poets and Writers. Organized visits for outstation course participants, to A.M.U. campus, Maulana Azad library, Ibne-Seena Academy, Adult education centre, Al- Barkat institution, Orphanage centre, Rehabilitation centre, Old-aged home and Aligarh Fort etc. National and International Seminars / Principal s meets organized 09 One Day Meeting of the College Principals and Heads of Departments held on 19 December 2002 sponsored by UGC Academic Staff College, A.M.U, Aligarh. A Seminar on the Objectives and Rationale of Academic Staff College courses organized by UGC Academic Staff College, A.M.U. on 23 December, 2003 A Seminar of Indian Universities and Colleges: Challenges in a Global Scenario organized by UGC Academic Staff College, A.M.U. on 7 March 2005.
