Profile Of The Department DEPARTMENT OF ENGLISH Since 1972, the year of its inception, striving tirelessly towards perfection in realizing the institution s vision and mission under the banner of its motto Serve with love, the faculty of English has been significantly contributing to the mission of empowering the marginalized, rural, economically weaker young women through quality Education. It offers U.G. (aided and unaided) and P.G. courses, Certificate course in Communicative English and Career oriented Certificate/ Diploma/ Advanced Diploma course in Communicative and Functional English. A hallowed tradition of effective teaching by competent and committed, well-experienced teachers evidenced by the Alumnae feedback, special thrust given to spoken English and Soft skills, Bridge course for the freshers, a relevant and need-based syllabi inclusive of job-oriented papers, organization of State Level Students Seminar, Regional and National level seminars for scholars and teachers are signposts of the Department. September 2013, that witnessed the birth of Wings, literary magazine is a memorable achievement in the annals of English Department.
