Putney Public School Excellence through Endeavour Your Local School Our local Community Thursday 7 June, 2018 Term 2 Week 4 ZONE CROSS COUNTRY On Wednesday, 30 May, Ms Thomas and Miss Russell took a team of 64 representatives from Putney Public School to Welcome to Week 6. Meadowbank Park for the Zone Cross Country. SEMESTER REPORTS Notable results: Teachers are currently writing student reports for Semester 1. These reports are based on assessment tasks completed so far Baylee B 12/13 Years Girls 4th Place Jonathan G 11 Years Boys 4th Place Charlie B 10 Years Boys 4th Place Should you require any clarification with your child s report, Nate O 10 Years Boys 5th Place please do not hesitate to contact the classroom teacher and Indiana M 12/13 Years Girls 6th Place organise a time to discuss the report further. Blake R 8/9 Years Boys 7th Place this year. They are an indication of how the student is progressing with their learning at this current period of time. These students will now compete in the regional final in September. Congratulations to these fantastic spellers and good luck for the regional final! Madeline M Kaitlyn F Valencia S George G PSSA FEES There are many outstanding PSSA fees still to be paid. This is causing the school concern, particularly as we are half way through the competition. Can I urge everyone to pay the outstanding fee at your earliest convenience. This will allow us to cover the cost of buses for this PSSA season. #A reminder that when a student trials for a PSSA team. It is their commitment that, if selected, they will stay with the team for the whole competition. THANK YOU FOR THE HELP What a wonderful response to our request for donations to assist the establishment of our Gardening Club. Thank you to the generosity of the Putney Public School community, we now have everything required to begin a sustainable gardening program run by the students under the watchful eye of Mr B s GREEN THUMB!
