Blended Programs: Session I- (4) Interview Process for MI Applicants Learn how to effectively and efficiently conduct interviews with applicants applying to communities with multiple programs. This session will demonstrate how to handle situations that arise, including red flags, mock interviews, and much more. Blended Programs: Session II- (13) Managing Blended AR's Annual recertifications are challenging, especially when dealing with multiple programs. Join us to discuss various ways to assist you to manage and stay on top of the recertifications. Blended Programs: Session III- (22) HUD & LIHTC: What's the Difference? Where do the differences lie between the HUD program and LIHTC programs when it comes to property management? Student eligibility, rent calculations, resident files, over income households are just the beginning. The program differences can be challenging and confusing, this class will assist in decoding some of these compliance challenges. Hands-on (Interactive): Session II- (17) Pest Control Best Practices Do you have pest control and sanitation best practices in place? Learn how to prepare for pest control services, and how to assist the residents to be prepared. The goal to have a pest free community! Hands-on (Interactive): Session III- (26) Electrical Trouble Shooting This session will be an overview of electricity and how it works. Learn to trace the path of electricity from the house meter through the entire structure. Items to be reviewed in include, electrical panel service, common electrical device installation and troubleshooting and of course safety. Hands-on (Interactive): Session IV- (35) Ins & Outs of Replacing Fire Alarm Panels An overview of how a basic fire alarm works and services a building. Learn what to watch out for when replacing a panel. And how the panel is tied to smoke detectors, horns and strobes. This information will assist you to be cost effective and knowledgeable when changing out fire alarm panels.

Hands-on (Interactive): Session V- (45) A/C: Mechanical & Electrical This session will cover preventive and troubleshooting of all air conditioning components. Including safety procedures, basic refrigeration cycle and limitations placed by the EPA and more. Hands-on (Interactive): Session VI- (52) Kitchen Appliance Repair How many times you have you wondered, should an appliance be repaired or replaced? This session will cover topics such as safety when making repairs and troubleshooting the refrigerator, dishwasher and stoves. All in an effort to assist you in determining how to proceed. HUD Programs: Session I - (2) To Interim or Not to Interim If you ever doubted where or not an Interim Certification was to be completed, this session is for you. The presenter will cover the Interim Certification Do s and Don ts as well as the related regulations and a hands-on exercise. HUD Programs: Session II- (11) Allowances & Expenses Come refresh your knowledge and calculation skills. This session will review how to handle deductions when working with allowances and expenses when calculating Section 8 rents. HUD Programs: Session III- (20) How to Prepare for a HUD MOR Are you ready for the next MOR or would you like a higher rating than the last MOR? Inspectors completing a MOR use the Management Review for Multifamily Housing Projects, form HUD 9834. This session will cover what an inspector reviews in regards to your tenant files, TRACS, and EIV. Being prepared for a MOR and the questions on the form HUD 934 may assist the community in a better overall rating! HUD Programs: Session IV- (29) EIV & TRACS 203 Update This session will provide an EIV and TRACS update. Come with your toughest questions regarding EIV and TRACS 203 for the panelists! HUD Programs: Session V- (38) VAWA Update VAWA s final rule protects the housing rights of survivor of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking. Are you aware of the current notice requirements, do you have an emergency transfer plan policy? VAWA is not just for HUD communities, it is required for LIHTC communities as well. HUD Programs: Session V- (39) Tips & Techniques in Self Auditing Always be prepared! This session will provide tips and techniques for selfauditing and correcting resident files issues. Learn what compliance auditors are looking for and how to best prepare the resident files. HUD Programs: Session VI- (48) Compliance Q & A / Roundtable The session will be a compliance person s dream come true! This session will review the differences between mortgage, insurance, REAC and other inspection. Maintenance: Session II- (16) Make Ready Maintenance Are units being made rent ready in the most efficient way? This session will assist maintenance technicians in viewing the unit as a product and discuss topics such as scheduling, prioritizing, and solutions to commonly needed repairs.

Maintenance: Session III- (25) Maintenance Budgets How much money can I send on maintenance work? This session will review how budgets are created, specifically related to maintenance, and how those decisions affect repairs. Maintenance: Session IV- (34) Water & Mold Cleanup This session is an overview of water intrusion and mold issues in buildings. Including, awareness, historical perspective, regulatory overview as well as some mitigation steps from the facility management viewpoint. Real life loss examples, will be shared, in an effort to give a common-sense perspective. The discussion will integrate both missteps and success stories to ensure an enjoyable and informative class. Maintenance: Session VI- (51) Disaster Preparedness This session will review basic disaster preparedness principles including mitigation considerations from the facility management viewpoint. This session will not be a presentation to review first aid or evacuation procedures, but rather an informative and thought provoking introductory level class regarding disaster preparedness integrated into the steps necessary to mitigate further damage from occurring. By using real life loss examples and integrating both missteps and success stories along with audience participation will ensure that all will come away with at least one good take away. Owner/Agent: Session I - (1) Owner & Agent Roundtable While we as Owners and Agents are competitors, we are also colleagues. Having peer-to-peer discussions has proven to be beneficial to all. This session will provide insight on legislative and regulatory issues in Washington DC, and what we as Owners and Agents can do to have our voice heard. Owner/Agent: Session IV- (28) Open Session Owner/Agent: Session V- (37) California Legislative & Business Update Navigating the ever-changing waters of federal, state and local legislation and competing political climates has never been more difficult for the multi-family housing industry. In this session, industry legal expert, Karen McCay, will discuss new laws that impact your business and what may be on the horizon for the future. Topics include new immigration status laws, flood disclosure law, employment law changes as well as currently pending legislation of interest to the industry.

Marketing your affordable housing community can be more complicated than conventional housing. Let s be creative and think outside of the box in an effort to be successful in leasing vacancies and meeting all program requirements. Property Management: Session III- 23) Customer Service & Leadership What does customer service mean in affordable housing? Find out in this innovative session on leading your team in customer service. Property Management: Session IV- (32) Cultural & Generational Differences Problems can arise from differing mindsets and communication styles within property management. This session will focus on accepting differences and tips on how to work with a variety of generational and cultural differences. Property Management: Session V- Active Shooter What happens if you are in an active shooter situation? Unfortunately, this situation is being more common place. This session will give you some insight on the options run, hide or fight. Learn how to prevent certain situations and how to deal if it happens. Property Management: Session V1- (49) Budgeting & Variances This session will focus on understanding how community budgets are prepared, variances and what variances mean to the on-site staff. Resident Services: Session I- (6) Mental Wellness for Older Adults (Hoarding) Learn to identify the differences between collecting, cluttering, and hoarding and the need for treatment for those who might have a significant problem. Resident Services: Session II- (15) Let's Talk About It: Memory Loss & Alzheimer's diag- An overview of Alzheimer s disease and its effects, including symptoms, nosis and understanding treatment options.

Resident Services: Session III- (24) Mental Health First Aid Mental Health First Aid is an evidence-based public education and prevention tool it improves the public s knowledge of mental health and substance use problems and connects people with care for their mental health or substance use problems.
