The school academic year starts from April and closes in March. However, the class X and XII graduate in the third week of May. It offers a secondary curriculum from class VI- X, at the end of which the students take the AISSE (All India Secondary School Examination). Curriculum: All courses bear the same level of difficulty. This means that the courses are not honors accelerated etc. The courses studied bear the same rigor and are of equal weightage. Classes XI and XII Curriculum: As per the CBSE scheme of studies, the students take two years of the same subjects in the higher secondary i.e. year XI and XII. Each student is required to opt for one compulsory language at the core level along with four electives. The school offers these four subjects under three streams; Science. Humanities and Commerce. Classes XI and XII Examination Specifications and Grades Each academic session begins in the month of April. Two rounds of Unit Tests are conducted through the year. The first round is completed before the Half-Yearly Examination in September- October and the second round between October and February. The Annual Examinations are conducted at the end of the session in March. The weightage, in the Annual Report, of the tests and examinations conducted during the year, is as follows: Unit Test 1 10% Half Yearly Examination 30% Unit Test 2 10% Annual Examination 50% The final report card shows aggregate marks in all subjects calculated as per the above weightage. Promotion Policy for XI Pass Marks in each subject is 33%. A student has to get at least 33% in the theory of the Annual Examination, Half Yearly Examination and Unit Tests. In subjects having Practical/Projects, students are required to pass in theory and practical/projects separately with 33% aggregate marks. EXAMINATION SPECIFICATIONS AND RANKING The All India Senior School Certificate Examination (AISSCE) is held from March to April of class 12. It is a national level examination conducted at the same time in all CBSE schools of India. The school also conducts Mid Year Examinations and Pre Board Examinations to monitor the formative growth of the students. A sample of the High School Transcript with the class 12 predicted marks with respective grades is given below: The scores are on a scale of 0-100.With a pass mark of 33%. The predicted grades are based on the super score/grade of each subject of the 11 th grade aggregate marks and the performances in the unit tests in grade 12 th with one upgradation in positional grade.
