COMPENSATION UPDATES The Department of Business and Financial Services and Department of Human Resources and Talent Development (HRTD) have worked to revise and update the Pay Band and Stipend descriptions and compensation rates. These revisions have been proposed since publication in the Superintendent s Proposed Budget. All changes do not have any funding impact on the proposed budget. Pay Band (page 298) Proposed Pay Band adjustments will allow for more consistent and standardized rates for additional assignments and part-time activities. The changes include: Inclusion of additional job types/activities on the existing pay bands, and Addition of pay band by moving the prior band 16 to band 17 and restate a new rate for band 16. On page 2, the Pay Band published in the Superintendent s Proposed Budget book is provided. Page 3 shows the revised Pay Bands with changes noted in red. 1

Stipends (page 296) The Stipends were reviewed to ensure the descriptors were accurate and to include any missing Stipend payments. Changes include: Grouping by Department and Level; Addition of HRTD stipends; and Re-titling of High School Dean to Special Education Dean. On pages 5 and 6, the Stipends are presented as they were in the Superintendent s Proposed Budget book, but the rates have been updated with the School Board amendment. Pages 7 and 8 show the revised format and changes. 4
