WINTER SESSION MONDAY CLASS DESCRIPTIONS Elementary Dance Ballet/Hip Hop Students will receive a well-rounded education in the basic concepts of Ballet and Hip Hop. This class provides a nurturing environment in which dancers feel comfortable to explore movement. Children will be participating in a variety of sports this session such as lacrosse, basketball, kickball, soccer and flag football. Bring your water bottles for those hot afternoon days. Parent spectators are always WELCOMED! Winter Wonderland Club With a winter theme, children use science, math, literacy & art to discover, solve and create. Painting on Everything Sign Language Bulldogs on the Run Breakers, Tennis Breakers, Golf If you liked "Painting on Canvas then you will love Painting on Everything. Students will enjoy creating paintings on different media such as metal, wood, pottery, fabric and glass Each week the students will be introduced to a new story and taught the signs of related vocabulary words. Students will make flash cards and take videos to help each child build a portfolio of their words so they can practice at home. This class is designed for children who are interested in running and improving their overall fitness. Mrs. Kotz, our running coach, will focus on proper warming up, running form and cooling down along with exercises to strengthen and avoid injuries. Students will learn how to set running goals in order to cross that finish line. Children will have fun being outside, running along side their friends and seeing what they are capable of achieving! A 1-MILE Fun Run will be completed at the end of the session. The Junior Tennis curriculum will cover; forehand, backhand, serve, volley, overhead smash, rules of tennis, sportsmanship, etiquette and point production. 6:1 ratio The Junior Golf curriculum will cover; full swing, putting, chipping, pitching, etiquette, rules of golf, sportsmanship as well as on-course instruction. 6:1 ratio This class is now back at the New Breakers Golf Course.

TUESDAY CLASS DESCRIPTIONS PBDA Fashion Designer T-Shirt Design Join Ms A. in this fun creative designer class. Each week, the student will make a new t-shirt using various design techniques. Acting Children will be participating in a variety of sports this session such as lacrosse, basketball, kickball, soccer and flag football. Bring your water bottles for those hot afternoon days. Parent spectators are always WELCOMED! This class teaches the basic techniques of acting on and off the stage in an exciting learning environment. The actors will learn monologues, duet/group acting, auditions, and much more! Toy Story (Performance at the end of the Winter Session) Group Piano Students will develop the basic theory and technique for piano performance. In the class, the child will receive guided group instruction as well as 1:1 instruction that will assist them in their practice throughout the week. Primary Martial Arts Class Limit: 15 Elementary Martial Arts Class Limit: 20 Under the instruction of Sensei Tom Floyd, these martial arts classes are based on the traditional, well-rounded Okinawa martial art known as Ryukyu Kempo. Along with the necessary physical skills, this class will give your child the mental strength and moral courage to face life s challenges with a steady heart and a clear mind. Have fun with hand building and wheel throwing! Students will experiment with under-glazing and over-glazing techniques to decorate their wares. Clayful Fun Classes from January 15 - March 5 Location: Upper Campus (PBDA Bus transportation available, Pick-up at Upper)

WEDNESDAY CLASS DESCRIPTIONS Art Club I This class is for kids who love art and who enjoy being with students who love art. Students will feel the freedom of creative expression and are free to explore and experiment using various media in creating their own unique works. Primary Sports Outside activities and inside games designed for the younger child. Football/Soccer Children will have fun participating in a variety of soccer activities to improve and perfect their kicking, passing and goal-scoring skills. Students will then partake in game playing to use what they have learned and worked on. Bring your water bottles for those hot afternoon days. Parent spectators are always WELCOMED! French Beginners /Intermediate Through songs, games and many hands-on activities students will become familiar with the French language and culture. Students with some French experience will be exposed to more challenging language activities. Yoga This class is a holistic practice that nurtures the well-being, body, mind and soul. Students light up in delight as they playfully open and stretch their bodies with age appropriate yoga, stories, songs and games. Intro to Chess Chess Kids Beginner/Intermediate Whether you are a beginner, intermediate or an advanced player, this is your chance to learn and improve problem solving and strategies to play a great game of chess. Students will learn the basics of chess, rules and exercises to develop skillful moves. Tech Explosion Do you love learning about the newest technology gadgets? With this class, Mrs. Fanberg will be offering a variety of tech activities. Bloxels: an innovative tech game that allows the student to create their own video games. Stop-Motion: create your own movies. Green Screen: create incredible visual effects when making photos or videos. Dot and Dash: works on beginning coding skills. Bulldogs on the Run Breakers, Golf This class is designed for children who are interested in running and improving their overall fitness. THURSDAY CLASS DESCRIPTIONS STEAM Connections Winter Edition Through experiments, creativity, and exploration, Mrs. Remington will provide our younger students with a positive introduction to promote a future love for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math. Global Citizens Global Citizens is a service club that strives to teach empathy for all living things and the issues that face them. This club will help to make the world a better place through service and environmental projects on both local and global levels. Through these activities, leadership skills will be developed and enhanced so that the students will become true global citizens. Primary Dance Ballet/Tap Students will receive a well-rounded education in the basic concepts of ballet, and tap. These classes provide a nurturing environment in which dancers feel comfortable to explore movement. Dance shoes and clothing can be found at Payless, Target or Amazon. Movie Musical Students will combine their musical singing talents and best choreography moves to create the ultimate "Movie Musical Review Children will be participating in a variety of sports this session such as lacrosse, basketball, kickball, soccer and flag football. FRIDAY CLASS DESCRIPTIONS NEW Skateboarding with H2Flo This onsite skate experience is a unique program that assists with confidence building and gross motor skill development. The skilled instructors will go over equipment, safety, proper skate technique, and balance along with one-on-one coaching. This class will provide a variety of obstacles from a mobile skate park that challenges the beginner to the aspiring pro. All safety gear and a variety of boards are provided to maximize this dynamic skate experience. OR students may bring their own equipment. Must be 7 yrs old and older. Primary Rhythmic Gymnastics Elementary Rhythmic Gymnastics Rhythmic gymnastics combines ballet and creative movements to music, while working with ribbons, balls, hoops, ropes and clubs in a choreographed dance-andtumble routine. Children will learn to express themselves through movement and dance, exploring the creative process. Art Club II This class is for kids who love art and who enjoy being with students who love art. Little Chemists Join Dr. J to explore the world of Chemistry. Children are introduced to different science concepts through the exploration of hands-on experiments and materials. Adventures in Chemistry Kitchen Science Explore the awesome world of chemistry with Dr. J! Our theme this session will be Kitchen Science. Students will conduct physics, chemistry, and biology experiments with tools and ingredients found in any kitchen! By understanding chemistry a child can better understand the world around them and how it works.
