UDBHAV-2016: Orientation Program An orientation program UDBHAV- 2016, for newly admitted students of B. Tech. and Diploma courses in current academic session 2016-17 has been organized on 2 nd September 2016; during this program the information related to all the departments, labs, faculty members of institute, different available amenities, library and hostel rules have been provided to students. Shri Ram Murthy Mishra, Additional District Magistrate, Bijnor, honorable Mr. Devendra Kumar Ji and Managing Director Mr. Sunny Deshwal Ji graced this orientation program as the Guest of Honor and showered their blessing; on behalf of RVIT family, Director Dr. N. K. Singh communicated welcome and thanks to all the guests for their presence with newly admitted students. Inauguration Of RVIT Newsletter स द श On Occasion of Teacher s Day The students of different departments have celebrated Teacher s Day on 5 th September 2016; the students expressed gratitude towards teachers and importance of teacher in the life of student. 2
On the same day, the first issue of RVIT newsletter स द श has been released; the news letter shall be released bimonthly on institute website www.rvit.ac.in. ECE & EE students visited India Expo All the III and IV year students of B. Tech. Electronics & Communication Engineering and Electrical Engineering along with four faculty members of the department Mr. Ujjawal Pathak, Mr. Sourabh Rajput, Ms. Indu Yadav, Ms. Prachi Rani, visited the India Expo Center, Greater Noida on September 9, 2016. During the visit to this Expo, students got the opportunity to visualize, learn, enquire and see the emphasis laid down by Smart Solar Technologies prevalent all around the world, which is growing its roots in India as well. 3 Life Skill Workshops in Schools Our institute keeps on organizing Life Skill Workshops for the faculty members and students of the school situated in Bijnor and its nearby regions. During last two months, this workshop has been organized at more than 10 schools such as at C. D. I. C. Haldaur, G. I. A. Nazibabad, Mount Litera, S. V. M. Pheena, N. D. R. B. V. M. Kiratpur, L. K. S. B. V. M. Dhampur, B. K. S. V. M. Nehtaur, S. V. M. Chandpur, S. V. M.
Noorpur, Oxford Public School Nehtaur; Mr. Pankaj Munjal, Director Training & Development interacted with students and the faculty members as resource person to this workshop. Hindi Divas Celebration Hindi Divas was celebrated on September 14, 2016, on this occasion Managing Director, Mr. Sunny Deshwal, and Director, Dr. N. K. Singh, spoken on the importance of hindi and a debate competition on the topic, तकन क श क ष म ह द उपय ग य अन पय ग was organized; Varun Pratap Singh from ECE 4 th year got first prize in this debate competition. Inauguration of Wall Magazine स जन The wall magazine स जन, was inaugurated on September 14, 2016; students and other members of the institution can post their articles, technical writings, poems, drawings etc. on the wall magazine, which shall remain in display for six working days. 4
Rural Development Program In Association with NITTTR Chandigarh RVIT organized 5 day workshop on उन नत भ रत अशभय न on September 12-16, 2016 in association NITTTR Chandigarh, under the auspices of IIT Delhi and MHRD, GOI; with an objective to help villagers by acquainting them to low cost appropriate technologies that can be utilized for proving solutions to prevailing problems in daily life. During this workshop, installation of Smokeless chulhas and sock pits for proper sanitation and low cost model house in two villages Choukpuri and Agara was done under the supervision of Prof. U. N. Roy from NITTTR Chandigarh and the 5 members expert team. Our students and faculties from department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering faculty members from different Polytechnic institutions have attended this workshop, including some of the villagers and by students and Faculties of B. Tech and Polytechnic Civil Engineering, various faculties from different cities and Gram Pradhan of both villages. 5
VISHAVKARMA POOJAN On September 17, 2016, the Vishavkarma Poojan has been organized by the department of Mechanical Engineering, all the faculty members, staff and students taken part in poojan. Welcome of Freshers: UDBHAV - 2016 The fresher s function UDBHAV - 2016, was organized to welcome the newly admitted students of 2016 batch on October 07, 2016. Secretary Mr. Arvind Kumar, Managing Director, Mr. Sunny Deshwal and Dr. N. K. Singh, Director inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp followed by Saraswati Vandana. During the program, students taken part in various performances like solo dance, group dance, singing, play, ramp walk; Mr. fresher & Miss. fresher competition has been organized, in which Mr. Prince Dutta from diploma Electronics and Ms. Krati Seth from B. Tech. CSE have been selected as Mr. & Miss fresher. The prize distribution ceremony for meritorious students of 2012-2016 batch has been organized and the students enjoyed DJ night at the end of the program. 6
Dr. APJ Kalam s Birth Anniversary Celebration 85 th Birth Anniversary of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam has been celebrated on October 15, 2016; different clubs of the institute taken part in this celebration and showcased Dr. Kalam s contributions and attainments in different walk of life through poster making, collage, quotation etc. and a quiz competition has also been organized. MD Mr. Sunny Deshwal, and Director Dr. N. K. Singh delivered talk on the life and contributions of Dr. Kalam to the Nation and society. 7
Quote of the Issue Deep Decoration Competition RVIT celebrates the diwali with light of diyas. To promote the use of diyas literary club of RVIT organized a Diya Decoration Competition on October 28, 2016; students made beautiful diyas and put up the stalls to sell these diyas to their fellow students. 8 Don t read success stories, you will only get a message.
