Adventures at AMCOM 2015 Acceptance is delighted to announce the acceptance of Lydia Marr into this year's Adventures at AMCOM program. Due to her hard work in school and in the community, she was one out of 25 students chosen from a highly competitive pool of almost 130 applicants. St. John s Crusaders Football is now forming teams for the 2015 American Youth Football league season. 4 Divisions: Ages 6-12. The coaches will have college and NFL experience! Registration is $150 & Information Sessions will be held on the following dates: Crusader Club News: Sports Physicals For the 2015-16 school year, students in grades 5-8 require a physical to participate in sports. St. John s will be offering physicals this Sunday, May 17th from 12:00pm till 5:00pm in Middle School Conference Room. Cost is $15.00. Schools supplies needed for Colors 4 Kids Colors for Kids is a local program that gives new and used school supplies to the less fortunate through programs like the Boys and Girls Club of Madison County and local missions. Please donate any school supplies that are not needed. Accepting pencils, markers, notebooks, art supplies, anything that can be used to help this cause would be appreciated. We will have boxes located in the hallways for the last two weeks of the school year. Drop in any supplies and we will store and deliver to the local missions. Ms. Kaufer s K5 class, Mrs. Martin s 1st grade, Mrs. Brown s 2nd grade, Mrs. Mackey s 2nd grade, Ms. Plummer s 3rd grade, Mrs. Zoeller s 4th grade, Ms. Jones 5th grade, and Ms. Sledd s 5th grade all earned popsicle parties! Congratulations! SUMMER COLLECTING CLIP and EARN: Keep up the great collecting over this summer break and clip and save Box Tops, Campbell s UPCs, Tyson Project A+ labels and Coke Rewards. St. John s School benefits from all these programs and through your clipping and collecting efforts, the school is able to obtain items for the school. Thanks so much for all the families that participated in ordering SCRIP or buying Wendy's cards on Wendy's night. We saw an overall 35% family participation in SCRIP from April until May 8. The results for the top ten classrooms are: Mrs. Pirozzi 60.8%; Mrs. Zoeller 60.7%; Ms. Bukovac 60%; Mrs. Brown 53.8%; Ms. Kaufer 46.2%; Ms. Omenski 42.3%; Ms. Sledd 42.3%; Mrs. Mackey 40.7%; Mrs. Martin 38.1% and Mrs. McInnish 33.3%. The end of the school year is just days away and with it brings the end of the school year celebrations, especially graduation plus summer vacations! Consider placing your SCRIP order online to get all the cards you need for these upcoming events. SCRIP will continue to be available throughout the summer.
