K-2 Athletics Carnival Our K-2 Athletics Carnival was held on Monday 16 th October. We had a wonderful afternoon with our students participating in running races, tunnel ball, egg and spoon races, parachute activities, quoits and hurdles. Everyone enjoyed encouraging their friends and showed good sportsmanship. Thank you to the O Brien family who donated ice blocks for each child at the end of our carnival. Parents and carers will need to supply their child/ren with recess and lunch. Sporting Success Congratulations to both Mia (5/6L) and Jesse (5/6M) who have recently achieved fantastic sporting results. Mia participated in the NSW Athletics Carnival at Homebush. Mia came 4 th in her 800m heat and is the 11 th fastest 12 year old girl in NSW for the 1500m event. Jesse represented NSW at the Australian Bruce Cup Championship. It has been 5 years since NSW have won the trophy. During the event, Jesse played 17 matches including singles, boy s doubles and mixed doubles. Jesse won 15 of those matches scoring crucial points for the team. Check out the latest Macarthur Chronicle for an article on Jesse s tennis achievements. Both Mia and Jesse have been acknowledged for their hard work, determination and sportsmanship and both are back in training for upcoming events. Dhg gd dhj dd

Stewart House Collection Steward House are holding their clothing appeal over the next week. Students received a Stewart House plastic bag today. Please fill the bag with any unwanted good, clean wearable clothing, shoes, manchester or blankets. Please return the filled bags to school by Wednesday 8 th November, as they will be collected by Stewart House on Friday 9 th November. Remembrance Day On Friday 10 th November, we will be conducting a Remembrance Day Ceremony at our school. It will be held in the school hall at 11.00am. Visitors are most welcome. 2018 Enrolment Information Attached to this newsletter is information regarding your child/childrens enrolment at Camden Public School for 2018. Please fill in and return to the office if your child will be either: Leaving Camden Public School at the end of 2017 Returning to Camden Public School in 2018, but will be returning after the official start date due to being on holidays. Old Camden High Update Next Monday a meeting will be held at Council with AEH Developers, St Paul s and Camden Public School s staff and parent representatives, a NSW Department of Education representative along with Mr Chris Patterson. This meeting is for information to be presented regarding the remedial works planned for the former Camden High site. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQS) will also be addressed.
