Call to Order and Roll Call President Craigmiles called the meeting to order at 6:01 p.m. Members present: Adcock, Craigmiles, Kern, Shelton, Starr, Ward, Wort Members absent: Administrators Present: Alexander, Kratochvil, Loftus, and Recording Secretary, Hamilton. Request Closed Session to discuss the employment, compensation, resignation of specific employees of the District, collective bargaining matters between the District and its employees or their representative, student discipline and to discuss pending or probable litigation as provided by 5ILCS 120/2(C)1,2,9, and 11. On behalf of the PTO, Jess Megginson reported on upcoming Teacher Appreciation plans. 6. Approval of Minutes Action 6.1 Approve special board meeting minutes of March 28, 2017 and regular board meeting minutes of March 15, 2017 Motion: Approve the March 15, 2017 regular board meeting minutes, as corrected, and the March 28, 2017, special board meeting minutes. 7. Approval of Financial Reports and Expenditures

Action 10.6 Consideration and approval to move sub bus driver to full time route Motion: Approve the employment of James Lederbrand as regular route driver. Second: Kern Action 10.7 Consideration and approval to participate in the Illinois State Agency for Federal Surplus Property Motion: Approve the continued participation in the Illinois State Agency for Federal Surplus Property. Second: Shelton Action 10.8 Consideration and approval of volunteer coaches Motion: Approve volunteer coaches: Kip Smith to volunteer for Track the remainder of the season; and volunteer football assistants: Jason McKenzie, Joe Fisher, Jeff Kirkendoll, Jason Kirkendoll, and Hunter Hamilton Info 10.9 First Reading of Administrative Policy and Procedure Revisions Superintendent Alexander reviewed the proposed Policy revisions. Adcock thanked Shelly Craigmiles for her service to the District. President Craigmiles thanked the Board for their hard work and support during her time on the Board. Info 10.10 May 2 Seating of New Board at 7:00 p.m. A special meeting will be set for May 2, 2017 at 7:00 pm for the purpose of seating the new board of education. Action 11. April 2017 Junior High/High School Principal s Report Current Enrollment: High School-191 (177) Junior High-101 (98) Total: (292) 7 th - 47() 8 th -54(57) 9 th -44(41) 10 th- 43(41) 11 th -47(46) 12 th -57(52) Suspensions: 2 Good News: Lindsey Scherff is the April Student of the Month Congratulations to the March Pawnee Junior High Students of the Month: 7th grader Kyle Neuber and 8th grader Logan Cockerill Recently there was a nice article on Austin Baker. Pawnee High School's Bass Fishing Team competed in the Glenwood Bass Tournament yesterday. Brady Jarrett and Zach Schober placed first out of 34 boats. Mason Hampton and Blayne Martin placed 4th and Mason Hampton received the "Big Bass" award for catching the largest bass of the day, 5.91 pounds. Congratulations to Connor Monahan!! He advanced to the state WYSE competition. The following students recently participated in the Bradley Honor Choir in Peoria: Andrea Condon, Noah Durr, Faith Gresham, Isabella Oliver, Lindsey Scherff and Haley Ward. The choir was comprised of top choral students from across the state, and the event culminated in a performance on the campus of Bradley University. Personnel: Open Positions o Assistant High School Track o High School Scholastic Bowl o JV volleyball o Interact Guidance Office Report: 2017-2018 Master Schedule is complete and students have received their schedules. SAT has been completed and students should receive their score late May/early June. PARCC is currently underway for the junior high students. FOIA Request- SmartProcure submitted a commercial FOIA request to the Pawnee Community Unit School District 11 for any and all purchasing records from 2016-12-16 to current. The request was met by sending the vendor report. 3. IASB Resolution- If the board has a resolution they would like brought forth to the IASB, please let me know and I will fill out the paperwork. 4. Legislative update- They are not in session. There was a stop gap budget passed out of the house before they left for a 2 week break. The Senate was not in session when the House passed the bill. School funding is still being debated in both chambers. Solutions for school funding, that both parties can agree to, have not been found.
