Prom Assembly: Friday, May 11 10:30 am PAC Prom: Saturday, May 12 doors open at 6:00 pm Akron Last Day for Seniors: Friday, May 11 after Assembly Mandatory Commencement Practice & Senior Breakfast: Friday, May 18-8 am to 12:30-1:00 pm report to the East Cafeteria Commencement: University of Akron JAR Arena Sunday, May 20 at 1:00 pm doors open at 12:00 pm 6 Tickets Per Family

Final Exams MAY 7- MAY 11

Final Exams All seniors are required to take final exams with the exception of those who receive A s for both 3rd and 4th Quarter NO exams will be given early. Students are NOT allowed to go to another class to take an exam during an unscheduled time

Final Exams All exams are given in 2 parts, on two separate days. AM classes for 2 days and PM classes for the next 2 days. An exam schedule will given out in May. NOTE: It is the responsibility of all students to take final exams. Students who do not show up for a final exam will be given and incomplete (I). Any student receiving and (I) will not be allowed to participate in Commencement until all finals have been taken.

Senior Year: The Home Stretch 1 Family Connection When you have decided what school you will be attending in the Fall, you must request a FINAL TRANSCRIPT! This is done through Family Connection. 2 CCP/PSEOP If you participated in either the CCP or PSEOP program, you must request an official transcript from that university in order for your credits to be evaluated for transfer. 3 Senior Awards If you are invited to the Senior Awards, please keep the following in mind: Show up Dress appropriately Thank you notes

Scholarships Carmen Daniel, BHS College Now Representative will be returning to BHS on February 1st and be here every Thursday through April 12th to meet with parents and students regarding: Student Aid Reports and Scholarships In addition, BHS students are able to access the College Now scholarship database: https://www.collegenowgc.org

Transcript Requests For Scholarships or Athletics: Login to Family Connection : http://connection.naviance.com/brunswickhs Select College Tab, under Resources on left select Transcripts Request Transcripts for Scholarships & Athletics Complete the information where to send the transcript If you need an UNOFFICIAL transcript for yourself, put your name in the recipient box UNOFFICIAL can be used to upload to an online application or send with your application packet If your application requires an OFFICIAL transcript, you must turn in your application packet for the Guidance Office to send all together

Senior Final Transcript Requests Final Transcripts prove high school graduation and must be sent to your college for scheduling and financial aid. 1 - Login to Family Connection : http://connection.naviance.com/brunswickhs 2 - Edit applications on Colleges I m Applying To list with RESULTS of ALL applications 3 - ALL applications must have a result: Accepted, Denied, etc. Select Update. 4 - Complete College I am Attending box and hit update 5 - Select Request Transcripts at top of college list 6 - Choose ONE school to send your final BHS transcript Final Transcripts are sent by the end of June once transcripts are finalized with all grades

COMMENCEMENT INFORMATION Sunday May 20, 2018 JAR Arena The University of Akron 6 Tickets Per Family

To participate in Commencement: All academic requirements have been met, including Credit Recovery (21 Credits + Courses) Earn 18 points or more on EOC s or met by 1 of the options. All graduation requirements have been met All fees, fines and disciplinary obligations have been met-pay to play, uniforms, parking tickets etc Must attend Commencement Practice on Friday May, 18, 2018

Late Arrival and Early Release Students who are not passing or have failed a required course will lose their early release or late arrival Students will be placed into a study hall where you can sign up for math help in the lab, tutors in the student center, or extra study time during school #1 Priority is to graduate

Commencement If you are NOT PARTICIPATING in Commencement/Graduation, Non-participation forms are located in the East Office and online. These forms are due in the East office by Friday April 27, 2018. This must be signed by your parent/guardian BHS administration reserves the right to remove a student from practice for inappropriate or disruptive behavior. If you are removed from practice you will be EXCLUDED from participation in the Commencement ceremony ALL SCHOOL RULES AND REGULATIONS ARE IN EFFECT AT ALL COMMENCEMENT ACTIVITIES

SENIOR COMMENCEMENT SPEAKERS 2 Seniors will be chosen to speak at Commencement Applications available on Monday March 19 in Language Arts Classes or East Office Speeches due by 2:00 pm on Friday April 20 to your Language Arts Teacher or Mr. Merrill Students will be notified on Monday May 7, 2018 Commencement Speakers will speak at Commencement on Sunday May 20

Commencement Tickets Each Family will be allocated 6 tickets- limited seating at the JAR and 2018 Class size Tickets will be given to students when they pick up their cap and gown Due to the size of the class, no extra tickets are available. If you are not using all 6 tickets, please turn them into the East Office or to other families looking for tickets

Cap & Gown Pick Up Tuesday May 15 ALL Students from 8 am to 10 am & from 12 pm to 2:30 pm. Wednesday May 16 ALL Students from 8 am to 10 am & from 12 pm to 2:30 pm Thursday May 17 ALL Students from 8 am to 10 am & from 12 pm to 2:30 pm 6 Commencement Tickets per family will be given out when Seniors pick up their cap & gown Students are not permitted to decorate their caps for Commencement!

Mandatory Commencement Practice Date: Friday May 18, 2018 Time: Buses depart 8:45 a.m. until approximately 1:00 p.m. (8:00 Am Senior Breakfast) Place: Akron University: J.A.R Arena (we will meet in the East Lot) Dress Code: School appropriate *** ALL STUDENTS MUST RIDE THE BUS TO COMMENCEMENT PRACTICE *** PARTICIPATION IN PRACTICE IS MANDATORY FOR ALL SENIORS WHO PLAN ON PARTICIPATING IN THE COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY

Commencement Video If you wish to purchase a DVD of Commencement, forms will be posted on the Senior Corner in April & available in the East Office. Cost is $15 dollars and must be pre-ordered due by Monday May 21, 2018.

2018 Senior Prom Saturday, May 12, 2018 Quaker Station University of Akron Check-In/Reception begins at 6 pm Dinner begins at 7 pm (Buffet Style) Dancing from 8 pm-11 pm Parents are not allowed at the facility during the prom No exceptions Senior Dates- Underclassmen and Guests 20 years of age and below Forms & ID s will be required

Prom Ticket Sales Ticket price $75 a person, $150 a couple includes buffet dinner & dessert, favor and dancing Payments- Feb 1st Online @MySchoolBucks, checks or cash payable to Brunswick High. Post-dated checks cannot be accepted. ALL SCHOOL FEES MUST BE PAID BEFORE PROM TICKETS CAN BE PICKED UP ON MAY 11, 2018 at the Senior Assembly. Last day to purchase is Friday, April 20- ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS

Prom Seating Due to limited space, seating for dinner is assigned. In order to have a request, select 1 person to be the table captain. The table captain will need to submit a table request form. Requests for groups of 10 people per table otherwise, students will be assigned as needed We will try our best, but SEATING REQUESTS ARE NOT GUARANTEED.

PROM TICKET SALES DATES -Prom applications will be available on Monday, March 19. Found on the Senior Corner & East Office -Prom tickets will be sold after school M, T, TH, & F April 9-20 until 2:45. -MCCC Students Tuesdays April 10th & 17th until 4pm rm 328 -MCCC Students there will be a sale during lunch periods at Thursday, April 12th. -Prom Tickets will be issued on May 11th after the Senior Assembly

Senior Elementary Walkthroughs Date: Friday May 18, 2018 Time: 1:45 Pm Location: Applewood, Crestview, Hickory Ridge, Huntington, Kidder, Memorial, & Towslee EMS Fill out Google Form, wear your Cap and Gown, & report to your Elementary School by 1:45 PM. Each building will have different activities from walkthroughs/cap out, assemblies, or meet and greet.
