Director s Corner 30% Wow! We are nearly 1/3 of the way to our goal of $2 million towards our community's new library home! That is truly amazing and a testament to the dedication of this community to make it happen. On Friday, October 4, at the Community Foundation banquet, we were the recipients of three wonderful gifts: $5,000 from the Siemer Family Fund, $10,000 from the Community Foundation, and the big surprise of the evening, a $200,000 gift from the Dr. Rick and Angie Workman Family Fund. These donations will go a long way towards making our move a reality. TumbleBookLibrary is an online collection of animated, talking picture and chapter books which teach young children the joys of reading in a format they'll love. Puzzles and games too! Use the Accelerated Reader info to find your next book! For K-6th grade. No library card is needed to access this service. Please bring your login information that you use to access Facebook. Veterans Day Tribute with Donald J. Huskey SGM,USA (Ret.) Tuesday, November 12 In honor of Veterans Day, Huskey will make a living history presentation on WWII and will pay homage to veterans and WWII veterans in particular. Museum-quality historic items and artifacts from various wars will be on display and will be discussed. During the entire month of November, he will also have his military memorabilia on display in our large display case. Page 4
