THE PUNJAB CURRICULUM AND TEXTBOOK BOARD ACT 2015 (Act VI of 2015) 10. Prohibition. (1) No person shall, except with the prior approval of the Board, print, publish, sell or prescribe in an institution any textbook or supplementary material. (2) An application for approval to print, publish, sell or prescribe in an institution a textbook or supplementary material shall be made in such manner and form and on the payment of such fee as may be prescribed.
What is Provincial/National Curriculum Curriculum is the guide that defines the learning path of a student. It also determines the process of this National learning. In other words determining who acquires what types of knowledge at what stage/age.
Purpose of National Curriculum Traditions, culture and faith all are affected and reflected by the curriculum. Thus if we are not following same curriculum, it will directly affect our traditions, culture and faith. Children should be equipped with 'the knowledge, skills and understanding that they need for adult life and employment' Changes in technology, labour market patterns and general global environment, all require policy responses.

Targets of our curriculum Along-with other targets, it include the need for developing Pakistani children as proud Pakistani citizens having strong faith in religion and religious teachings as well as the cultural values and traditions of the Pakistani society. If we fails to implement the national curriculum, which is a unifying entity, we will be a scattered nation leading to lack of unity, cohesion and National Intergartion.

2.5 EXAMINATIONS (i) of NTLM policy
Functions The Textbook Board and DCTE shall jointly inform all stakeholders in education publishing and the general public about the policy. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Textbook Board shall be transformed to competently perform the functions of facilitating, monitoring and regulating the process of textbooks development, and shall review and help support the process of approval of textbooks for use in schools in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. As a part of its regulation function the Textbook Board shall devise a mechanism to determine the prices of approved textbooks of Publishers for sale in the market.
5.2 For the Private schools i. Private schools decide and choose from the approved and certified textbooks by the Textbook Board according to quality and price, and purchase textbooks directly from the publisher, i.e. paper, printing and binding are part of the publishers business. ii. The publisher may either print the approved textbooks as per the textbook board s specification or of higher specification to be more competitive in the market. In both cases price shall be determined by the Textbook Board keeping in view the specifications. iii. The Textbook Board will monitor the quality and quantity of textbooks to be sold by the publisher in the market. For this purpose, the Textbooks Board will develop and implement a mechanism. Prices of publishers textbooks to be sold in the market shall be determined by the Textbook Board.

3.3.11. STEP-11: Curriculum implementation Implementation of developed/ revised curriculum would be the responsibility of the BOC and would be done as per approved curriculum implementation framework adopted by Balochistan. Some of the initial activities regarding dissemination of the approved and notified curriculum would be as per table below. Pros and cons of different system Oxford system is good if you are sending your child for O-level and A-level system but if you are shifting it back to Matriculation, it is damaging a child in many ways. The rest of series are hap hazardly made and is creating gaps in the children education
Pros and cons of different system Text Books prepared by Textbook Board are better in vertical and horizontal linkages but are prepared for average or below average students CSS took the advantage of their experience of National Curriculum and prepared books for good students, having better vertical and horizontal linkages.
