No: 4 Week 8 2016 Wednesday 16th March 2016 This Newsletter is the last one that we will have before the end of our first Term for 2016!! We have certainly had a busy term but it has also been extremely productive. Some of our accomplishments this term have been: We have had our Meet and Greets for our classes. During this time teachers were able to outline what content would be covered as well as articulating the expectations of the Whole School as well as those for each individual class. We have run our Student Leader process which resulted in our Student Leaders being elected, taking part in our Leadership Camp at Yeppoon and Rockhampton, and being inducted at our special parade last Monday. We have again this year participated in the Dawson Valley Sports Gala Day held at Banana State School where students had the opportunity to participate in Cricket. Staff have attended a number of Professional Development Activities in order to keep up with current and emerging trends in education to ensure that we remain at the forefront of educational delivery. A number of classes have been on local excursions and our Secondary Students will complete their Cotton Unit with a trip to the Moura Cotton Gin tomorrow. Our Swimming Carnival will be held this FRIDAY and we will finish the term with our Cross Country Carnival on the following THURSDAY. P&C The P&C will be holding its Annual General Meeting next Wednesday, 23 rd March at 6pm.
