STACY JOHNSTON Assistant Principal sjohnston@sd13.org From the Principal PARCC testing is almost complete. The students in third through fifth grades are working extremely hard and putting in a tremendous effort during this testing period, which is much appreciated. Much gratitude goes out to the DuJardin staff for preparing the students for these assessments. PARCC testing will wrap up Monday afternoon followed by makeup testing the rest of next week. DuJardin s Student Council will be planting a White Swamp Oak tree near the playground in honor of Arbor Day, which will take place on Friday, April 29 th at 1:30. The public is welcome to come out and join the student council members for this short celebration event. MAP testing will take place at all grade levels between April 25 th through May 5 th. The results will be available once the testing window closes on May 5 th. These results along with other information will help in the process of placing students in homerooms for next year. Student results from MAP testing will be sent home to parents in the 3 rd trimester report card on May 31 st. We hope to see you at the Spring Chorus performance, Home on the Range, this evening at 7:00 p.m. in the gym. The 2 nd and 3 rd grade chorus members have been working very hard since February rehearsing for this production. Thank you also to Mrs. Burritt and Mrs. Lents for organizing yesterday morning s Fruit with Family. Everyone seemed to have such a great time together. Please see pictures on the following pages.

School Improvement Day Wed., April 20 1:40 Dismissal Westfield Middle School will be holding an Open House on Monday, May 9 th at 7:00 p.m. for incoming fifth graders and their parents. Please join Westfield s Principal, Assistant Principal, Guidance Counselor, P.E. and Drama/Speech teachers, and Student- Teacher-Parent (STP) Organization President for an introduction to and tour of Westfield. Kindergarten (both morning and afternoon sessions) will enjoy a special treat of a snack and chocolate milk at snack time.
