( Rules and Regulations for the Conduct of Inter Collegiate Tournaments and University Team Selection trials) (Sl.No.1 to 21 to be effective from 2009-10 and 22 to 27 from 2008-09) Sl. EXISTING RULE No. 1. Section 21 of Rule 10 Swimming and water polo championships ( Men and Section 22 of Rule 10 Softball ( Men and Section 23 of Rule 10 Table Tennis ( Men and Section 24 of Rule 10 Volleyball ( Men and Section 25 of Rule 10 Weight Lifting ( Men and Section 26 of Rule 10 Wrestling ( Men ) Section 27 of Rule 10 Yoga and Surya Namaskar 2. Sub Section (ii) of Section 17 of Rule 10 Kabaddi ( Men & - Players with body weight of 85 Kg and below (men) and 70 Kg and below (women ) will be eligible to participate. 3. Section (i) of Rule 3 University Team Selection Committee and Selection Trials - In the University team selection, the Director of Physical Education (DPE) or the personnel in charge of the Director will be the chairman or the personnel nominated by the Director from among the panel of selectors duly forwarded by the zonal conveners will be the chairman. The University coach for each particular game and a member from each zone shall constitute the selection committee. The expert opinion of the designated coach/ expert can be sought by the selection committee. If the Physical Education teacher is not in a position to accompany the team, a member of the college teaching staff designated by the principal shall accompany the team. 22. Sub Section (iii) of Section 10 of Rule 10 Cross Country (Men and Women) Individual entries may be permitted. For deciding the team championships, points shall be awarded to the competitors up to the sixth position for Men section of each college and upto the 4 th position for Women section of each college. Points are given in the following order. Ist position : 1 point IInd position : 2 points IIIrd position : 3 points and so on. 23. Sub Section (i) of Section 8 of Rule 10 Chess (Men and Women Combined) The tournament will be played according to the college teachers from among different colleges should be present at the time of weigh in and should sign on the performa for weigh in.
