The College Application Process: edocs edocs allows counselors to electronically submit all school documents required for college applications. Documents that will be sent via edocs include: Common Application reports Letters of Recommendation from school personnel Transcripts - initial, mid-year and final School profile
The College Application Process: Step 1 Create an Account on Common Application or College s Website If Common Application, add colleges you are applying to via the Common Application and then add your high school information under the Education section of the Common Application. Click on My Colleges (on the sidebar), and the Recommenders and FERPA agreement appears. The FERPA agreement MUST be completed in order to request transcripts electronically. Login to Naviance Family Connection Under the Colleges Tab and then Colleges I m Applying To, complete the Common Application Match using the same email you used to register with Common Application.

The College Application Process: Step 2 Add colleges to Colleges I m Applying To under the Colleges Tab in Naviance Family Connection. Click on +add to this list Add each college you plan to apply to
The College Application Process: Step 3 Ask 2-3 teachers in person for letters of recommendation Always allow at least 2 weeks for teachers to complete their letters Once the teacher says yes, officially request through Naviance Family Connection Click on the Colleges Tab, then Colleges I m Applying To Scroll down to Teacher Recommendations Click add/cancel request To add a new request, click on the drop-down list, choose the teacher from the list then click submit request Your teacher request must be done before you request your transcript

The College Application Process: Step 4 Complete an online application for admission If Common Application, complete any additional Supplements required by colleges Make sure you complete the process by paying (or requesting a fee waiver), then hit SUBMIT. If Common Application, check for green box on the top of the application to ensure your application has been submitted. Under My Applications on Naviance Family Connection, click on Have you Applied? under the My Applications header Answer all the questions you can. Come back here after you hear back and update.
The College Application Process: Step 4 ACT and SAT Scores are included on Westerville City Schools transcripts; HOWEVER, some colleges want ACT/SAT scores sent directly from the testing agencies. The College Application Process: Step 5 Your applications and teacher recommendation requests should be completed before requesting your transcript. Submit a completed Transcript Request Form (need to create a new one if we only send transcripts online?) to the Guidance Office then enter your request in Naviance at least two weeks before the college s deadline. If a college has a November 1 deadline, you must request your transcript no later than October 15. If a college has a November 15 deadline, you must request your transcript no later than October 31. Under My Applications, click on Have you Applied? under the My Applications header Answer all the questions you can. Come back here after you hear back and update.

Naviance: Transcript & Application Submitted Once your counselor sends your transcript through edocs, the requested under the Transcript header will change to sent and the Office Status header will change to Initial Materials Submitted.
Scholarship Opportunities Unions, church groups, cultural groups, fraternities/sororities College Scholarships-This is where the majority of scholarships come from. Please pay close attention to application deadlines and procedures. Check Naviance: Any scholarship information (national and state) that is filtered through the counseling department will be listed on Naviance. Check weekly for updates. Community Scholarships (Westerville): WCS will be hosting a Community Scholarship Information Night on Wednesday, December 14 @ South from 6:30-7:30pm. It is imperative that you attend as a thorough explanation of the application process will be reviewed. Deadline for all applications will be at 3pm on Friday, January 13th.
