Respect! Respect is the key. I ll respect you, so please respect me! Dear Families, Welcome back everyone. We hope 2019 turns out to be a wonderful year for you all. On behalf of all the staff we would like to thank you for all the cards and gifts at Christmas, you were all very thoughtful and generous. We are going to spend the next few weeks exploring the value of respect, in assemblies and through every day experiences. The hook we are using this time will be the short rap/rhyme above. It is based on the Biblical message Do unto others as you would have them do unto you, a command based on words of Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount. We hope this will help children to understand how to live out the respect value. The Values at Home sheet will be e-mailed home attached to next week s newsletter Nicola Dudley Headteacher

Table Tennis end of Autumn term Awards We are very grateful to Mr and Mrs Shah for running such a well-equipped, professional table tennis coaching club. The children are very lucky to have three full size training tables stored at school now, after a lot of heavy lifting from Mr Shah and helpers. The term ended with some awards after a round of matches.

Panto Fun in the final week

Charity Box Living out Learning - RE I was so impressed when Miss Moisi told me about the children responding in a real way to an RE topic last term. They collected donations of food and gave it to the Barnet Homless Shelter. Climbing Frame Please do not let school children or younger siblings climb on the climbing frame before and after school. Samba Year 3 We have arranged for a music specialist to teach Samba percussion to year 3 this term. They children will have weekly lessons on Tuesdays, which will build to being a performance piece which parents will be invited to watch. Increased Security Over the Christmas break, we had the railings and gate which, separates the car park and the school, extended in height. This means that the perimeter fence along all exterior edges of the school is now full height. Thanks to Paul Steedman, the Millbrook caretaker for getting that organised.
