Highland Apprenticeship Showcase Inverness College UHI Wednesday 7th March 9.30-3.30pm, 4.30-7.00pm Highland Apprenticeship Showcase, part of Scottish Apprenticeship Week is an exciting event for S3 pupils in the Highlands. This event aims to give these young people a hands-on experience whilst hearing directly from employers and learning about the vocational pathways into their future career. Skills Development Scotland, Developing the Young Workforce, Inverness College UHI and the Highland Council are working in partnership to bring this exciting event alive. On the day, pupils will get an introduction of the day, followed by an exciting interactive experience of different work places through Apprenticeship Worlds. Pupils will then be able to look at, and enquire about, different opportunities that exist and speak to employers at their leisure. An evening session will run from 4.30-7.00pm and is open to all S3 -S6 pupils, parents and the public. Expiry date: 07/03/18 S3-6

Work Experience Opportunity Taking part in work experience is fantastic for young people to gain understanding on future jobs which they may be considering, this can help them decide what they want to do once they leave school. Scott-Moncrieff: Business advisers and accountants based in Inverness are offering a fantastic work experience opportunity between 19th February and 2nd March 2018, however if these dates do not suit the school or pupils, Scott-Moncrieff have stated they would be flexible with the dates. This would be a perfect opportunity for a pupil to gain insight on what it is like to work in a professional environment with an experienced accountancy firm. Do you know anyone in your school who is organised, punctual, motivated, willing to learn and has an interest in accounts and finance who might like this opportunity. If so please contact myself and I can help arrange these placements: Rowan Morrison, Developing the Young Workforce, Metropolitan House, 31-33 High Street, Inverness Tel: 01463 228388 DDI: 01463 723732, Email: rowan@dywich.co.uk Web: www.dywich.co.uk Expiry date: 02/03/18 S4-6
