She has decided to work full-time in the classroom in a Foundation class. While speaking staffing, I would like to announce that Mrs Lynne Vasiliadis will be taking 1 years Leave to explore teaching in a variety of settings. We are hoping to have raised sufficient money to begin our Ga Ga Pit. We are preparing for the renovation of our toilet blocks which will consist of a new urinal in the boys toilets and re-painting of both the boys and girls toilets. We will keep you posted! I am currently organizing teaching teams for next year and arranging for Mrs Morabito and Mrs Vasiliadis replacements for 2019. Christmas Carols will be on Monday 17th December, 2018. MRS LAMOND S 2 DESK QUESTIONS When will my child know who their teacher is? We have received your feedback and are currently using class creator to assist in this process. Will there be food on the Carols night? Yes there will be food, Mr Pain s famous spit is making a return. Food will be served from 5.30pm until 6.15pm. What will happen if it rains? We will make the call at lunchtime and place a notice on Compass to advise families of any changes. We will also remind students as they leave at 3.30pm. Carol singing will occur the next morning at 9.15am weather permitting. Please send a note, email or contact the office on 9435 6070 if you have had any changes in your family address, contact or emergency contact numbers. Absence Notification If your child must miss school, please advise the school office as early as convenient or via Compass. If your child is running late for any reason, please ensure they come via the office to notify their presence as it is a DET requirement that all rolls be marked by 9.15am in the morning. If any child is marked on the roll as an unexplained absence, the school office is required to contact their parents/ guardians. Personal Property Please clearly label all personal items clothes; school bags; lunch boxes etc. School Crossing This is a reminder to all students and families that the school crossing is in use for the protection of our community. It is important to use the supervised crossing area as it is the safest place to cross the road with all the traffic in the area before and after school. Streeton is a Smoke Free Zone There is No smoking on Streeton School grounds (including our car parks). On 1 July 2009 the Minister for Education exercised the power under the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 to prohibit smoking in all government schools. Animal Management Policy To ensure the safety and wellbeing of all members of the Streeton community, animals are not permitted onsite without prior permission from a principal class officer or team leader. School Canteen Our School Canteen is open two days a week, on Wednesdays & Fridays. Lunch orders and over the counter sales are available. Lunches can also be ordered by downloading the Qkr! App.

CAR PARK INFORMATION 5 Parent Car Park Our first priority is every child s safety. Please ensure you enter via western end of our parent car park on Yallambie Rd. The car park has designated parking bays and the traffic flow is in a circular clockwise direction at 5kmph or less.
