COURSE LEVELS " Students capable of honors or advanced placement courses should sign up for these when completing the course selection sheet. Students can be moved to a lower level course within the first grading period providing one is available and they are academically misplaced. Changing placement from regular level to honors or AP after the beginning of the school year is not an option as the student has missed too much instruction and/or the appropriate summer work for the course.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION EXEMPTION There is a policy that permits students to be exempt from PE if they participate in a sport, cheerleading, dance, or marching band.

SCHEDULE CHANGE POLICY Schedule changes may be considered for the following reasons: Change necessitated by physical health of a student Completion of course in Summer School Changes necessitated by failures Mechanical error changes Subject-level changes if misplaced Classroom balancing
DROPPING A SUBJECT A student may withdraw from an elective course within the first two weeks without penalty, providing the student s course load does not fall below five credits for that year. If a course is dropped after the first two weeks, a grade of a F will be recorded.
