REPORT ON YRC ACTIVITIES CONDUCTED DURING THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2017-18 ROAD SAFETY AWARENESS PROGRAM: In association with Automobile Association of Southern India a Road Safety Awareness program was organized for our MBA Students on 3 rd and 4 th of August 2017. A film was exhibited to highlight the importance of abiding by traffic rules and regulations and ensuring necessary care while driving to avoid accidents. Our students viewing the film YRC Placement Officer Mrs.D.Charumathi exhibited on road safety awareness explaining the concepts of Road Safety Students expressed their satisfaction and have assured to maintain due care when they are driving and will follow traffic rules and regulations.
EYE-CAMP: Youth Red Cross unit of MEASI Institute of Management organized free eye camp in association with Titan Eye+ on 10 th August 2017 from 10.00 A.M to 5.00 P.M in our campus. In the eye camp free eye testing and spectacle servicing was done to cater the needs. In the camp they also highlighted how the spectacles should be maintained for its long existence. 158 participants were benefitted by this eye camp. STUDENTS AND FACULTY MEMBERS IN EYE CAMP Earlier the Eye Camp was inaugurated by Our Director Dr.D.Nisar Ahmed and the camp was organized by Mrs.D.Charumathi and Mr.S.Vinoth, Co-ordinators of Youth Red Cross. The participants expressed that the camp was very useful and expressed their desire to organize such more programmes in the future.
CAMPUS CLEANING PROGRAMME AT ANJUMAN E -HIMAYATH-E-ISLAM The Youth Red Cross Unit and Rotaract Club of MEASI Institute of Management organized campus cleaning programme atanjuman-e-himayath-e-islam, a Muslim based orphanage situated at No:16, B.N.Reddy Road, Road, T.Nagar, Chennai on 12 th August 2017. 24 students with two faculty members Mrs.D.Charumathi and Mr.S.Vinoth participated in the campus cleaning programme. YRC Volunteers in Campus Cleaning Programme 24 students were split into three groups and three blocks were cleaned. Anjuman Convention Centre, Anjuman Matriculation School and Anjuman Girls Hostel were the three blocks cleaned in the programme. YRCVolunteers of MEASI Institute of Management at cleaning process Students cleaned the rubbishes, removed grass and unwanted plants. The students actively dedicated themselves in the cleaning process.the Campus cleaning process was organized by Youth Red Cross Programme Officer Mrs.D.Charumathi and YRC Faculty Member Mr.S.Vinoth.
BLOOD DONATION CAMP: MEASI Institute of Management has been contributing continuously towards servicing the society. It is proved by organizing Blood Donation Camp.Youth Red Cross unit of MEASI Institute of Management organized One Day Blood Donation camp in association with The Lansteiner Lakshmi Memorial Research Foundation Blood Bank on 12 th September 2017 from 10.00 A.M to 4.00 P.M in our campus to inculcate the value of sacrifice among the student community. Our Director Dr.D.Nisar Ahmed with YRC Coordinators and volunteers and Blood Bank Members In the blood donation camp blood group was identified and hemoglobin level was checked for the students who volunteered to donate blood.blood Pressure was also tested as part of the procedure. 350 ml of blood was taken from each donor. 80 students donated blood during the blood donation camp.

Blood Donation Camp was organized by Mrs. D.Charumathi, YRC Programme Officer and Mr.S.Vinoth YRC Co-ordinator. Students were appreciated for their voluntary service and certificates were issued for the same by the Youth Red Cross under the slogan Give Blood Give Life.
NATIONAL COMMUNAL HARMONY WEEK CELEBRATION: MEASI Institute of Management excels in academics, sports and extra curricular activities. In order to create more sense of patriotism among our students, Youth Red Cross Unit of MEASI Institute of Management organized Communal Harmony Campaign Week from 19 th November 2017 to 25 th November 2017. The Communal Harmony Campaign Week was organized by Mrs.D.Charumathi, Assistant Professor and YRC Programme Officer, MEASI Institute of Management and Mr.S.Vinoth, Assistant Professor and YRC Co-ordinator, MEASI Institute of Management.The campaign was organized to sensitize students, teachers and youth about the need for fostering communal harmony, National Integration and fraternity. Our Director Dr.D.Nisar Ahmed contributing during Flag Day YRC members during Flag Day Celebrations Essay writing Competition was organised on the theme Communal Harmony and National Integration. Ten students participated in the Essay writing competition. Mr.MohammedYousuf Khan. A of I MBA bagged I Prize and Mr.R.MohammedArafath of I MBA bagged the II Prize.
Our Teaching and Non-teaching members contributing voluntarily for Flag Day On 25 th November 2017 Flag Day was observed to spread the message of communal harmony and national integration by raising funds through voluntary contribution among the student community, teaching and non-teaching faculty members. The main objective behind the observance of Communal Harmony Campaign week was to promote communal harmony and national integration in the minds of youngsters in the society. A cheque (cheque no:369937dated 04/12/2017 drawn at IOB, Peters Road, Chennai) was sent to the Secretary,NationalFoundtion for Communal Harmony, New Delhi for an amount of Rs.1002/, the amount raised through flag day.
PASUMAI THIRUVIZHA (PLANTATION OF SAPLINGS): Youth Red Cross Unit of MEASI Institute of Management organized PasumaiThiruvizha on 22 nd February 2018 at 11.00 A.M.PasumaiThiruvizha. MEASI Institute of Management has stepped further into action by being a part in making environment green through plantation of saplings. PasumaiKavalar Mr.A.Mathivanan, Founder of Aakam Foundation and Former Assistant Director of Collegiate Education was the chief guest for the event. He graced the occasion by highlighting the importance of plantation and how to make our environment green. WOMEN S DAY CELEBRATION: MEASI Institute of Management organized women s Day celebration to honour the woman hood in the society. Womens s Day was celebrated to commemorate International Women s Day on 8 th March 2018 on the theme Women- A Full Circle. The occasion was graced by Mrs.Rajathi Salma, Tamil Poetess and Women Activist. She spoke about the value of woman and highlighted the role played by women in building the society. She also stated that man should help women to bring their dreams come true and should support in the growth of women in the society.
