10 SCHOOL ACTIVITIES (A) UGC NET Exam CBSE UGC NET exam was held on July 08, 2018 at Army Public School Gwalior. A total number of 660 candidates were allotted for the centre. (B) FDRC Workshop The teachers of classes VI to VIII attended the workshop on Skilling & Know How Initiative for Lifelong Leadership Development (SKILLD) at FDRC Sankar Vihar, New Delhi. The session was organised by The Global Education & the Leadership Foundation (tgelf) and the resource person was Mr. Rahul Augustine. The workshop was attended by Ms. Alpana Kushwaha (PRT), Mrs. Renu Singh (PRT), Mrs. Manisha Saroha Rana (PRT), Mrs Ravinder Kaur (TGT Science) and Mr. Dayal Thakur (TGT Maths) from July 12-13, 2018. The teachers were trained to conduct their class specific modules of SKILLD in their classes with the help of the various group discussions, interactive sessions, visuals, role plays, and hands-on activities designed for the learners from the tgelf manual The sessions were designed in such a manner that it could provide each teacher an insight to help the students explore their leadership potential. It also provided the teachers with skills to empower the students as leaders of tomorrow in the real sense. The workshop aimed at training the teachers to be effective facilitators to build a community of ethical, altruistic leaders on the planet who would work together to improve the state of the world with the help of tgelf programme.
11 (C) Counseling Session for the Girls Counseling session for the girls of classes VI &VII was organised by Health & Wellness Club of the school on 20 July 2018.The resource person was Mrs. Vaishali Shivhare from Procter & Gamble Ltd., Bhopal. The girls of class VI and VII attended the session along with their mothers who were invited by the school. The topic was "Mother-daughter - Health and Hygiene". The girls found the session very fruitful and informative and their mothers also appreciated the efforts of the school. (D) Students Felicitation A special welfare meet was organized at Baaz Auditorium, Morar, Cantonment, Gwalior to honour President AWWA, Mrs Madhulika Rawat, W/O the Chief of the Army Staff General Bipin Rawat, UYSM, AVSM, YSM, SM, VSM. 15 Inter House Debate Competitions: Debating and public speaking not only shapes students personality while improving their communication skills, but also provides them a well-knit platform to share their perspectives on different subjects with others.
