Check out the Local Board Member profiles on the website. Collective Worship Term 5 - Service The theme of our worship in Term 5 is Service. Next week we will be thinking about receiving as well as giving - and focusing on our school value of Kindness. We look forward to welcoming you to this assembly to help us celebrate the achievements of the week. Celebration Assembly takes place at 9 am every Friday morning. Don t forget, if you are unable to make it to the service, you are able to look at photos on the website to see what the children have been doing during the week.

1 We hope that everyone had a good break over Easter. The children have all settled down well and are working hard. Please remember that sun hats and sunscreen are required during any hot spell that we have. 2 We would like to extend a warm welcome to Declan and Maddison who join us at school in Year 3 and Reception. We hope you will be very happy here. 3 A reminder to everyone that After School Clubs start on Monday. 4 Advance Notice to parents that there may be parking issues next Thursday after school as there is a funeral taking place at the church at pick up time. ACTION 5 Many thanks to everyone who attended Parents evening earlier this week. Just a reminder also, that anyone who has not returned their comments sheet that accompanied their child s report, please do so as soon as possible. / ACTION 6 Friends of School are holding a Car Wash at School on Sunday 29 th April from 9.00 12.00. The cost is 5 per car and refreshments are available to purchase while you wait. Do come along and support them! 7 Bags 4 School Due to the success of this fundraiser in the past, Friends of School are looking to do another Bags 4 School collection in May. See FOS information for further details. 8 You will be pleased to learn that Mrs Taylor will be coming back to school at the beginning of June after her maternity break. She will be teaching Monday to Wednesday, and Mrs Miskell Dodd will be staying with us to teach on Thursday and Friday. 9 WAC As previously requested, any amendments or cancellations for WAC must be notified in writing to Seagry school office with 48 hours notice, if a credit is to be raised. WAC staff do not administer the accounts and therefore verbal notifications cannot be accepted for credits. 10 As you already know, Mrs Rowe is retiring at the end of Term 6. To thank her for all her hard work, we are hosting Afternoon Tea on Wednesday 4 th July at 3.00 pm to which everyone is invited. 11 A parent has reported a case of chicken pox in a sibling. Just keep eyes open for any signs!!

12 There are still some cake boxes/plates to collect from the foyer following the Scarecrow weekend and after the Easter Service. Please collect as soon as possible. 13 TD days for the academic year are as follows: Monday 4 th June 2018, Tuesday 5 th June 2017 and Wednesday 6 th June 2018. TD Days for the academic year 2018 2019 are as follows: Monday 3 rd September 2018, Tuesday 4 th September 2018, Monday 3 rd June 2019, Tuesday 4 th June 2019 and Friday 28 th June 2019. An extra date of Monday 5 th November 2018 is a DBAT Day. 14 Correspondence this week Kick about football flyer Stanley Park Football Club flyer Chippenham Pit Stop coffee morning flyer 15 FRIENDS OF SCHOOL https://www.facebook.com/cmfriendsofschool Bags 4 School Due to the success of this fundraiser in the past, we are looking to do another Bags 4 School collection in May. We would be most grateful if you could dig out any unwanted shoes and clothes and keep them safely tucked away rather than take them to the local charity shop! We will issue you with the official Bags 4 School collection bags asap. Thank you. FOS are running a Car Wash at school on Sunday 29 th April from 9 am 12 pm.
