LOS ANGELES ALUMNAE PANHELLENIC ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION FOR THE 2017-2018 ACADEMIC YEAR SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS: The Los Angeles Alumnae Panhellenic Association (LAAPA) will award a total of three $1000 scholarships to sorority women attending either CSULA, LMU, UCLA, or USC during the 2017-2018 academic year. The purpose of these awards is to assist collegiate sorority women in successfully continuing their education and to encourage sororities in always maintaining high scholastic standards. QUALIFICATIONS: The LAAPA Scholarship awards will be given to three collegiate women who most exemplify sorority and scholastic ideals. To qualify for these awards, applicants must: Be designated as a Sophomore, Junior or Senior status at her university for the 2017-2018 academic year; Be an active and in good standing member of a recognized National Panhellenic Conference* sorority upon application submission (January 31, 2017) and upon receipt of scholarship funds (March 2017) Have a cumulated college grade point average of 3.0 or higher; Be involved in either unpaid university activities and/or community/volunteer/philanthropic activities *Eligible sorority organizations recognized by the National Panhellenic Conference: Alpha Chi Omega, Alpha Delta Pi, Alpha Epsilon Phi, Alpha Gamma Delta, Alpha Omicron Pi, Alpha Phi, Alpha Sigma Alpha, Alpha Sigma Tau, Alpha Xi Delta, Chi Omega, Delta Delta Delta, Delta Gamma, Delta Phi Epsilon, Delta Zeta, Gamma Phi Beta, Kappa Alpha Theta, Kappa Delta, Kappa Kappa Gamma, Phi Mu, Phi Sigma Sigma, Pi Beta Phi, Sigma Delta Tau, Sigma Kappa, Sigma Sigma Sigma, Theta Phi Alpha or Zeta Tau Alpha PRESENTATION OF AWARDS: Los Angeles Alumnae Panhellenic Association Scholarship winners will be announced on/or around March 1, 2017.
