Packages Vacation English Our Vacation English program provides students with the opportunity to learn English, make new friends from all over the world and have the summer of a lifetime, in one of the most interesting cities in Florida. Students study English in the mornings and/or afternoons plus enjoy a range of full-day and half-day excursions. Vacation English Semi-Intensive Our Vacation English Semi-Intensive program is primarily aimed at students who need an F-1 visa for the USA. It provides our students with the opportunity to learn English, make new friends from all over the world and have the summer of a lifetime, in one of the most interesting cities in Florida. They will study English in the mornings or afternoons plus one afternoon or morning per week* of Semi-Intensive English, then enjoy a range of full-day and half-day excursions. This is a perfect program for young learners who want to improve their English faster than usual but, at the same time, enjoy their summer, make new friends and explore new places. * Please note that the Semi-Intensive English lessons are scheduled on Wednesdays so students enrolled on this course will not be able to participate in the Wednesday excursion. See the Semi-Intensive Timetable for more information. Music Summer School Our Music Summer School is perfect for students passionate about music. The Music Summer School offers two afternoons of expert musical tuition per week. Our team of music professionals work with students of all abilities alongside American students of the same age and ability. This way, students can experience American culture firsthand as well as receive extensive English practice. Music Summer School is a wellrounded program: music, socializing and fun! Music Summer School is only available in the summer. 2
Sports Summer School Our Sports Summer School is perfect for students with a real interest in golf, tennis, basketball or horse riding. The Sports Summer School offers two afternoons of expert coaching in basketball, equestrian, golf or tennis per week. Our instructors work with professional athletes as well as amateurs who want to learn about sport, have fun and enjoy the amenities of the Broken Sound Club. Students are grouped based on their level to ensure the most progress. Unique to our program is the fact that we place international students with American students of the same age to allow students to experience the American way of life as well as receiving extensive English practice. Sports Summer School is only available in the summer. Any transfers outside of these times and dates are subject to an additional cost of USD150 (one way) per student. Transfers may involve waiting time of up to two hours after students have cleared immigration. Unaccompanied Minors Some airlines insist on students under 16 years of age being booked, at an extra cost to the client, as unaccompanied minors. It is important that this charge is paid for as a RETURN payment, otherwise there could be a delay in the student checking-in on their return which could result in a missed flight. LAL also imposes a charge for this extra service. A charge of USD 50 each way will be added for unaccompanied minors (UM). Vacation English Upgrades (extra cost see price list) One-to-one private tuition Above options should be booked in advance as we cannot guarantee availability when arriving at the school. Students choosing to book optional excursions onsite should note that preference will be given to those students that booked in advance where there is limited availability. Please note that Vacation English upgrades take place during the regular LAL programme resulting in students missing a half-day excursion. The Optional Weekend excursion takes place on Saturday and Sunday resulting in students missing the fullday Saturday and Sunday included excursion. Excursion transportation is yellow school buses for all half-day excursions and coaches for all full-day excursions. All transportation used has air-conditioning.
