Cathedral of Angers ANGERS 16 000 Residents u 1hour0 from Paris by TGV u TESTIMONY Kanako Hiramatsu, Japanese student What are the advantages at CIDEF? "French language competencies, cultural experience and great relationships. It is not always easy to learn French, but my teachers here always encouraged me in a creative way. I gained a lot of cultural knowledge from the different courses. I also learned a lot terms of cultural knowledge, because CIDEF is for international students, and I now have friends from all over the world. I can say that thanks to CIDEF, I am more openminded. Those deep and precious experiences will always remain in my memories." TESTIMONY Katherine Salley, American student " My semester at CIDEF was better than I could have ever imagined. To begin, Angers is a beautiful city, where everyone is receptive to and welcoming of students trying to learn French. Everyone, from shop owners to people passing by in the streets, was kind and patient with us as we worked to improve our French, which further encouraged our desire to keep learning. As an international school, CIDEF allowed us not only to delve into French culture, but also to gain a deeper cultural understanding of a variety of countries. This was an experience that I had never had before! Finally, the professors at CIDEF are engaging and adapt to our level as they work with us to grow in our understanding of French language and culture. I am so grateful for my wonderful experience at CIDEF.." Bords de La Maine, cale de la Savate

TESTIMONY Ma Ning, Chinese student "I have been studying 8 months at CIDEF, in Angers in France at the Université catholique de l Ouest and I have had a very good time here. It was a really good experience, a very impressive one! Here, at UCO, you can make friends with students coming from all over the world, discussing culture. Students and teachers are nice and dynamic. The learning and teaching environment is so good and properly equipped. There is a good atmosphere. The contents are varied and that s why you can learn a lot. I am luck to be in a homestay with a couple. They are very nice. I have learned about real French life staying with them. I have tasted a lot of different food and had the chance to discuss and participate in family celebrations. It was awesome! I will never forget these fantastic moments that will remain precious and memorable." UCO campus 7

TESTIMONY Majd, Iraqi student "I come from Iraq and I started studying at CIDEF in 2017. When I first arrived in CIDEF it was a little difficult as I knew no one and I was afraid I would not be able to meet people. Little by little, I started making friends with students in class and also during the evenings organized by the BEC (Office in charge of cultural exchanges). I met teachers and I participated in the international evening. I sang arabics songs with my sister who is also a student at CIDEF and we presented Iraqi culture and photos to the other students. During the second semestre, I also joined the international day event : I went to a primary school and really enjoyed it. I met children to whom I presented my country. It was a tremendous day! This semester, I will also participate in the international evening and I will sing with my class. I am very happy to be at CIDEF and to meet other international students. I learn French language and also French culture. I am experiencing an incredible year!" 10 Esplanade of the Quay
