Multi- Alternate (MSAA) Kindergarten Readiness (KRA) Integrated Science (MISA) Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT/NMSQT) A comprehensive assessment system designed to promote increasing higher academic outcomes for students with significant cognitive disabilities in preparation for a broader array of post-secondary outcomes. The MSAA is designed to assess students with significant cognitive disability and measures academic content that is aligned to and derived from s content standards. Provides information about what foundational knowledge and skills children have and can demonstrate as they transition into kindergarten and what supports they will need to actively and effectively engage in and benefit from classroom The KRA includes items that measure school readiness. A measure of student achievement in science in grade 5 (testing content from grades 4 and 5) and grade 8 (testing content from grades 6, 7, and 8). MISA is aligned to the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), which were adopted by the Board of Education in 2013, and meets the federal testing requirements of the ESEA by the U.S.. Provides firsthand practice for the SAT I: Reasoning Test and SAT II: Writing Test. Scores are used to qualify students for National Merit Scholarship Corporation s (NMSC) Scholarship programs and provides indicators for AP success.
