Don t forget, yearbook prices will go up after the first of the year, so buy yours before Jan 1 st! Current cost is $45 per book. We are very excited about the upcoming track season. If your student is interested in track, please make sure it is on their schedule first hour next semester. Students MUST complete all athletic forms on Bethany website and have a recent physical on file. Forms can be found on Bethany schools website under athletics and athletic forms. Book Club Christmas Parties The 8 th grade Book Club Christmas party will take place Thursday, Dec 13 th. Sign up in advance in the HS Library. Parents, please remember when picking your children up after school, you may park on the far sides of the middle school parking lot, but not in the middle. The center lane, between the white lines, must be kept clear for pass-through, and must be wide enough for our transport bus to drive through. Thanks for your cooperation!!

Parents, please remember when you are picking up/dropping off your students, or items for your students, at the EXIT office on Asbury, you may park in the right lane ONLY. The left lane is an emergency-fire lane and must be kept clear at all times. Thank you for your help in keeping Bethany schools a safe place for our students! Please remember, our front doors are locked from 8:15 2:45 each day. To enter our building to check out a student or to bring something to your student you must enter on the East side of the school, by the Elementary Main Entrance. If you are checking a student out after 2:45 you may use the main middle school doors. Cell phone reminder BMS students are not allowed to use their cell phones between 8am and 3pm. We ask that parents contact the BMS office if you need to get a message to your child. Please call the office before 2:45 to insure we have
time to get their message to them before the end of the day, especially for those students who have 7 th hour in other buildings on campus. Thank you for your cooperation! With the Parent Portal you may login to the website and check your child s grades, attendance and personal information. If you help your student study for a test one evening, you can log on to Parent Portal and see what your child made on that test or check to see if your student made it to class on time. It is a great tool for parents to keep an eye on your student s activities. To use the Parent Portal, you must see Carolyn Work or Dee Lott in the Administration building. You must take your I.D. with you. She will issue you your login password and give you the information on how to use the system. CAFETERIA NEWS Bethany Schools offers healthy meals every school day. Your Children may qualify for free meals or for reduced-price meals. ONLINE APPLICATIONS are now available or you can pick one up in the Middle School Office. If you have any needs or questions on student lunches, please contact our Cafeteria Manager at 405-499-4616. ALERT!! There is now another way to keep track of your student s lunches. Go to www.myschoolbucks.com. This website can tell you what your student has been purchasing, you will have the ability to set spending limits by the day or week, parents can set meal controls for meals only or a la carte items. It will also send parents e-mails when their balance drops below a certain point. It is easy to enroll, simply go to myschoolbucks.com. And click on enroll now. Create an account for yourself and your children. You will need the student s name, school, grade, birth date and student ID#. You will then provide credit or debit card information and you can select the automatic pre-payment option, if desired. It is easy! VOLUNTEER FORMS: For the safety of our students, anyone who wishes to participate in field trips, volunteering, lunch with the students, or any activities where you are with our students, you must have a completed volunteer form on file in our office. You can sign up for your parent portal password in the administration office. It will allow you to see your student s grades and absences.
