AMSA Course Levels All AMSA courses prepare students for college College Preparatory (CP) - Courses aimed at preparing high school students for entry into colleges and universities. Honors (H) - Courses cover more complex material, permit further in-depth study, and may require independent learning and greater effort. Advanced Placement (AP) - College level courses where the curriculum is approved by College Board.

Course Selection Process Counselors met with students during DS to go over the general course selection process and their options for next year Students register online through Plus Portals Students will receive teacher recommendations for the following subjects: Math English Biology History
Students take a minimum of 7 credits, but 7.5 are recommended. Recommend that students take an art or chorus class in grade 9 Study hall Students with 7 credits = study hall every day Students with 7.5 credits = study hall every other day Consider prerequisites- see AMSA Program of Studies
