Central Library of Jiwaji University, Gwalior (M.P.) supports the reading and research needs of its user for sustainable development of intellectual community. It is the library's responsibility to provide better services to its patrons to make sure that information sources, services and resources are well utilized for users' benefits. Hence user education program is very crucial for library user's achievements. Library is a part of the general context of the societal institutions that promote education, research, learning, social cohesion, and the higher aspirations of humankind. The workshop will play a key role for optimum utilization of Intellectual resources which are provided on a single gateway i.e. Central Library of Jiwaji University, Gwalior. The workshop will explore about harnessing of E-resources which are subscribed from International and reputed publishers i.e. Pearson, Emerald, Springer, EBSCO Database, Oxford University, Cambridge University Press, Elsevier, and etc by the Central Library and also elaborate about Open and free resources which will be satisfy the need of research and development and help to users/participants to enable them to make more effective, efficient and independent use of information sources and services. The concerning database s experts will practically demonstrate and give the skills for effectively harnessing of these resources which will be helpful for the utmost satisfaction of the end users and enrich the research activities. Objectives: Central Library, Jiwaji University, Gwalior has prepared a Research Policy for development of research activities in the university. All Schools of Studies/ Departments/ Centers are actively participating in the research work in their individual capacity. The present workshop is being organized with the view to promote the research work being undertaken in the university in various fields by various departments. This workshop provide skills and training for enhance the capacity building for effectively utilization of intellectual resources to students, research scholar and faculty members. This workshop will contribute and enhance information literacy and support for maximum harnessing of the library resources and services. The Prime objectives are as follows of this workshop. To develop a skill for Information Literacy.

To develop Online databases searching skills. To motivate for maximum utilizations of Intellectual Resources. To provide the Legal research skills. To develop a Capacity Building for harnessing the E-Resources. To enhance and support the research activities and skills. Scope of Workshop: The workshop will enhance the user s capacity on utilization of Intellectual resource which are offered by UGC to the Universities viz. Shodh Shindhu, Shodhganga, Shodhgangotri, SWAYAM PRABHA, Expert Database and national researcher network (Vidwan) and subscribed by Central Library, Jiwaji University, Gwalior s viz. E-Books, E-Journals, E-Databases of International publishers (Oxford University, Cambridge University Press, Elsevier, EBSCO, Bentham Science, Manupatra, and etc) and, various Open and Free Resources. The target participants of this workshop will be through which research work being carried out under various faculties in all teaching departments of Jiwaji University. Participants : The workshop is anticipated for all Research Scholars, Faculty Members of Schools of Studies/ University Teaching/ Institutes / Centers, of Jiwaji University, Gwalior (M.P.). All the H.O.D/Director/Co-ordinator/Faculty Members are requested to kindly encourage their Research Scholars, for actively participation in the Workshop for uplift of the Intellectual culture of Jiwaji University, Gwalior and contribute their role for the sustainable development of intellectual world.
