Required for graduation for classes of 2013 through 2018; available to students who have not yet met the mathematics assessment graduation requirement. OSPI (Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction) assessment window is Jan 4-Feb 5 and May 9-June 10. ASSESSMENT NAME NAEP Assessments Grade 8 Chief Kanim MS only Jan 27 National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) will administer mathematics, reading, and writing pilot assessments on tablets with keyboards at grades 4, 8, and 12. As in previous years, NAEP staff will provide significant support to schools, bring all necessary materials and equipment, including tablets, and administer the assessment. Required by OSPI for 2015-16 OSPI Classroom Based Assessments (CBAs) Grades 6-12 Administered throughout the school year. ASSESSMENT NAME STAR Math Grades 6-8 Washington Alternative Assessment System (WAAS) Grades 9-12 (Geometry, Alg 1 and Alg 2 students) Grades 3-8 Grades 11-12 Sept 21 Oct 9 Jan 11 29 May 23 June 3 Sept 21 Oct 9 Jan 25 Feb 5 April 11 22 Aug 26--March 21 Nov 2-20 (For currently enrolled students and non-enrolled 12th graders who have not met standard on WAAS-DAPE) District Assessment: STAR Math Enterprise testing data helps determine mastery of math skills for each student so instruction can be personalized and appropriate interventions can be scheduled. This assessment helps to forecast student performance on state tests. State Assessment: For students receiving special education services. Assesses ELA, Math and Science. Scores are available in Data Dashboard (staff resource) within two weeks of the end of completion window. Enterprise testing windows are aligned with Renaissance Learnings Student Growth windows (Fall Aug 1-Nov 31; Winter Dec 1-March 31; Spring April 1-July 31) Portfolios: Grades 3-8 DAPE (Developmentally Appropriate Proficiency Exams): Grades 11 & 12 Washington English Language Proficiency Assessment (WELPA) March 7-June 10 Grades K-12 Online: February 2 March 11 State Assessment: Required, annually, for qualified English language learner (ELL) students and students in the State Transitional Bilingual Education Program. Assesses writing, reading, listening, and speaking. OSPI assessment window is Feb 2-Mar 11.
